Once again visited my favorite restaurant, with my family. Pleasantly surprised by an one man guitarist cum singer. Really cool , playing on each table. Nothing has changed. The same service with a smile and a great choice of menu from Goan, Maharastrian and Andhra....Tried the fresh Bombay Ducks , really awsome. The Andhra chicken starter is worth dying for.The Rawas Kozambu is a must in the main course with rice. In sweet dish, the wattalappam and doodhi halwa are greatMore

'Diva Maharashtracha' is an absolute delight for every aesthete with a discerning taste palate. The ambience is characterized by a meld of traditional and voguish décor with the atmosphere having an aura of chic yet relaxing vibe. The menu features oodles of Maharashtrian delicacies. So...whether you're looking to give your taste buds a spark of fiery maratha spices or looking for a milder dining affair, you will relish the dining experience and it's memories that follow. The customer service is unblemished, absolutely impeccable with the order time being 10 to 15 minutes per dish. The crew led by Mr. Subhash C Sharma, collude together to make the customer feel at home with their geniality and hospitality, as they take them to a dining maneuver of complete gastronomic pleasure. Our table was hosted by Mr. Subhash himself and Mr. Kashi Mukhiya, who certainly made our dining experience enthralling. Appetizers & Main Course From the wide spread of dishes that the menu features, we ordered "Kolambichi Karanji" and "Chicken Malvani Sukke" for appetizers and "Jungli Chicken" and "Chicken Shagotti" with chapatis and ambolis for main course. "Kolambichi Karanjee" : With a generous portion size, these are karanjis or gujiyas (deep fried dumplings) stuffed with an exquisite filling of prawns cooked in a cheese based sauce. It is very appetizing and loaded with a spectrum of flavours. "Chicken Malvani Sukke" : Being a Malvani delish, this elegant dish is very flavorous. The chicken glazed with a malvani based masala is delectable and very pleasing to the taste buds. "Jungli Chicken" : A dish with a mouth-watering gravy rich in flavour, aroma and consistency, it goes well with literally every thing from the 'Breads' subsection, we had it with chapati and amboli. The chicken pieces submerged, were so tender and tasty. It's a konkan speciality that you will savour! "Chicken Shagotti" : This is another chicken dish with a delectable gravy that goes well with chapati, amboli or steamed rice. It has a very satisfying flavour. Drinks - "Platinum Whiskey Sour" and "The Royal cream" The former, is a variation of the classic whiskey sour with a twist of spices that bring in a dimension of flavours to cherish, amazing stuff. The latter, has a semi thickish consistency and a good aftertaste. They serve a variety of sweet dishes ranging from the goodness of "Kharwas" to dishes like "Bibinca" and "Payassan" expanding their gastronomic-territory of speciality to Goa and southern states. We ordered "Doodhi Halwa" which had a mind blowing taste and a burst of flavours. The dish prides itself with diverse flavours, it has a rare sapor that makes it an absolute delight. When you talk about authenticity and value for money, Diva Maharashtracha is one of the first-rate places in Mahim without any doubt, it's truly a gastronome's delight.More

The restaurant is divided into 3 parts with different types of ambience Diva Maharashtracha, Goa Portuguese and Dakshin. I went there for Diva Maharashtracha to try some Maharashtrain cuisine. In beverage we ordered The Royal cream which was rum based cocktail with chocolate and cream....The other was Watermelon Kiwi blast, which was a creamy fruit based mocktail. Appetizer Rawas Malwani Fry Chicken green fry Prawns Koliwada Fresh and crispy fried meat. Rawas fillet was deep fried, so it was crispy on the outside and moist from inside. Main course Nagpuri Saoji mutton Kokani Prawns Kalwan Bhakri Amboli The mutton was very spicy as it should be and it complimented amboli. The prawns kalwan is creamy and goes well with bhakri. If you eat less spicy then ask for less spicy Saoji mutton. We completed our meal with Puran Poli and Dudhi Halwa. I really had a great time here, the staff is warm and helpful. The must try are saoji mutton, rawas fry and dudhi halwa.More

This place is really a worth visit and must visit place for all the foodies who are craving for typical Maharashtrian cuisine which is not available in any of the restaurant. It has completed 12 years this month. It has been visited by many famous...artists, politicians and many great personalities and they have received great appreciation from all of them. It has made it's recognition by their efforts and they have got alot of awards as well. They have received great appreciation from media as well. The chef Deepa Awchat tries to bring various new variations in the typical maharashtrian cuisine. Now I come to what I ordered In starters Kaju Kothimbir Wadi- Malawani Rawas Fry Mini Chutney Thalipeeth Chicken Kheema Modak All the starters had it's speciality and were quiet differently curated. In main course Kolhapuri Pandhra Rassa Nagpuri Saoji Walacha bhirda Bharlela Vanga ( Brinjal) Rice and Varan All the main course dishes were very well prepared and were as per the taste and standard of typical Mumbaikar. Desserts Dudhi halwa Kharwas The dudhi halwa having dryfruits was eaten by me after long time. The ambience and theme was quiet fascinating. The owner ( Suhas Awchat) as well as his son (Sudeep Awchat) were very much co operative and they were very much active in seeing each and every small thing happening which was very much appreciable. There was also a live guitarist cum singer who was singing good songs and was creating the ambience. Do try it guys, the experience would be memorable.More

Diva Maharastra,a reputed ,very well known restobar providing the authentic Malwani cusine and Delicious lipsmacking dishes by chef Deepa awchat .The ambience is pleasant and service is quite good. Coming to the food I had :- For drinks we had :- Mango twist :-It is...the perfect sweet drink . Consisted of flavours of mango, coconut and vanilla .Loved it. Melon cooler :-This is sweet and sour drink.Consisted of cranberry mostly I couldn't identify the sweet element but it definitely tasted really good.Balanced drinks like these should be relished . For starters we had :- Prawns Koliwada:-This consists of 7 pieces ,pieces varied from medium to big ,the taste was really delicious ,the flavour, the spicyness ,all were so top notch .Prawns done right in terms of taste. Malwani fried Rawas:- Consisted of 2 medium sized portions .This tasted so delicious and soft .Loved the texture of the fish.It was not spicy but really had rich flavours .Fish lovers should definitely have this !! Then for main course we had :- Nagpuri saouji mutton :- This dish was quite interesting for me very different from the Malwani dishes I have had before. The taste was quite different yet so flavourful .Tasted fabulous with the ambolis which I had.Another unique feature of this dish was that the mutton was boneless and soft .The ambolis were soft and had perfect thickness. Prawns Kalwan:- This dish is an absolute must for all the prawns lovers.I loved this dish a lot especially the curry because it had that authentic curry flavours of the fish curry and yet it didn't taste sour at the end unlike the other fish currys I have had at other places .Plus the generous amount of prawns here was really appreciated .Tastes best with steamed rice ! For dessert we had the classic Maharashtrian dessert Puran poli:- Apart from kharwas ,Puran poli is the staple and go to dessert here. This Puran poli was not too sweet which is what I liked about this one .Some tend to be too sweet but this one had the perfect balance.More
