Intercontinental hotel has arranged the food festival of Mexican cuisine along with chef Tania who has come all the way from Mexico.
The restaurant is located on first floor of the hotel with amazing marine drive view. The food festival had lot many dishes...to serve from the menu. The decoration was spot on with lot of Mexican theme creation. Menu had options like soup, starters, main course and desserts. Main courses and desserts had good number of options to choose from. Surprisingly main courses and desserts had many options to choose from. All the menu was curated by chef Tania who has come from Mexico.
Mexican chilly spiced lamb broth soup- Soup made with balanced lamb broth and some vegetables like sweetcorn, zucchini, even had rice in it. Broth was really flavorful and had good punch of lamb.
Crispy chicken soft tacos- Crisp fried chicken, Pickled onions, molcajete salsa filled in soft tacos and served in the taco stand, a perfect soft-shell tacos I ever had.
Slow cooked lamb chops- Dish of the day. Juicy and meaty lamb chops cooked to the perfection served with smoked mole sauce and Mexican rice. The cooking of it was up to the mark and meat was fresh and tender.
Baby Pork in pibil sauce- Slow roasted pork loin served with pibil sauce. Doneness of the park was just amazing.
Mexican corn cake – Cake cooked from corn and then served with condense milk and strawberry sliced. It was little dry but if u eat along with condense milk then yes it was perfect.
Mexican bread pudding – Twist of this pudding was too good. Bread pudding made with lots of raisins and cheese. Little saltyness of cheese was doing wonders.More
