I have visited this restaurant number of times. The last visit was in February before the pandemic. The restaurant is one of the best in Mumbai, though on a costlier side. Ambience: The place is lively, great for family outings or hanging out with friends....It is usually crowded. Service: The staff is courteous and is able to explain all the dishes perfectly. Their suggestions are also good. Menu options: They keep on changing the menu from time to time. They have enough options for both veg and non veg. Innovation in Dishes: They have certain dishes which are unique in terms of taste(Eggs Kejriwal), ingredients used (green tomato butter Chicken) and also the preparation(Gulab nut). Taste: Go for the dishes the servers recommend. They are excellent, other dishes are ordinary.More

The environment was fun, the G&Ts plentiful, and the tasting menu was perfect. Definitely order it to have things you wouldn't normally try.

My son an I went to this restaurant on recommendation by a friend. He was not wrong. We had a great meal. Prices are higher than the £4-9 (that's per main course) We paid £20 per head with just 1 drink each . It was...money well spent . Great food and great service . I would go again without a second thought . You would not get a meal for that price in the UKMore

What an utterly cool and hip place to find yourself chilling in, with the hipsters of Mumbai. Lots of youngsters in groups, on dates, families ... all manner of people, enjoying drinks and food in a fashionable setting. The outside of Bombay Canteen is unassuming...and it’s built into an area of warehouse style buildings. But once you’re inside, you sort of forget about where you’ve just come from. There was a bit of a wait to get a table but the bar was a great place to hang out, so we did so for about an hour before eating. They do some really great cocktails and the mixologists know their stuff. Nice little touches like ice with the colours of the India national flag give a nice twist to the drinks and a picture op. In terms of food, we really enjoyed the green tomato butter chicken, the prawn starter accompanied by Pav buns and the super chilly chillies stuffed with cheese and herbs. All so good!More

This restaurant is a must for anyone who wants to experience the best of modern Indian food in a stylish environment. We enjoyed the “Feed Me” Menu - each of the 12 small plates was an explosion of flavours which complimented each other. Service by...Rajesh was excellent. The Pork Vindaloo Tacos,Eggs Kejriwal and Banana Fish deserve a special mention.More

We were a group of 4 and enjoyed lunch at The Bombay Canteen. Indian food served with a good heathy twist. For instance the chaat we ordered was delicious and was interesting as they served it with couscous and the salad came with an avocado...hummus dressing and the daal pakan was served with sourdough roti. Everything was well presented and the service was good too. A great vegetarian variety too.More

First time visiting India and Mumbai and while out touring my co-workers and I stopped for lunch....the hotel recommended Bombay Canteen...and what a treat. We had a diverse group, many of us in from the US, and several that like flavor but cannot handle hot...spice...we were able to order a variety of food to try many dishes and change up the spice level so everyone was able to enjoy the meal. Great restaurant atmosphere, delicious Indian fusion cuisine and awesome wait staff. Cannot wait to go againMore

Indian food which is served as very western. If you want traditional Indian food i would not recommend it.
