About
This coffe shop is run by street boys and girls, and everybody, no matter their background, can go inside and take a book. There are many children who struggle to cope with their lives. Some of them have trained to be carpenters or welders, drivers or electricians, so there is a board where you can find the phone numbers of these children-turned-professionals

It seems to me any place with offers its visitors books, should be called special place. Its got a very tasty food (vegetarian as well), real nice coffee, especially cappuccino n of course delicious desserts. If you can't eat very spicy food , you'll be heard by Sabiya and the dish would be adjusted. I bought an astonishing queen silky dress from Kushboo. However this is the place where people care for people which differs this cafe from thousands others. Strictly recommend.
Thank you, Amin and all your big family💞🌿🙏

Worth a trip down to Marol to this quaint but spacious cafe which is beautifully homely with extra helpful and extremely courteous staff. The owners have a very Spanish influence over their food. The chicken lasagne was too good which was washed down with a Malta orange mojito (non alcoholic). Ended my visit on a sweet note with some yummy churros. All in all, this place is exquisito.

My mother and I had lunch at the Café today and it was delicious. I had Spaghetti with vegetables and pink sauce and my mother had Pasta alfredo. The sauce is homemade and the vegetables were fresh- it tasted great. Also the Café Bonbon (a spanish speciality) and the homemade cake is definitely something you should try!
Around us where people from all over the World chatting, reading or eating. Amin and his team make everybody feel welcome. The athmosphere is very warm and friendly. We will definitely visit the cafe again.

This is a unique place in the city. They offer delicious, fresh and high-quality food. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I also got fascinated with the story behind the Café. The owner, Amin Sheikh, was a street children who changed his life. Now he is changing other street children’s lives by offering them the opportunity to finding a job and to studying. Amin is usually at the café, so is great to have the opportunity to chat with him and discover more about the project “Bombay to Barcelona”.
It really worths a visit.

Ok I know this area VERY WELL because every time we come to Mumbai/Bombay, we are in the Marol section of Andheri East which is where this restaurant is. We live in Chicago, so this an outsiders perspective that also knows this area very well. Put plain and simple, don't visit Mumbai without coming to this place. It is awesome and soooo relaxing. It is not only the best place (by a ridiculously far margin) in the area but it rivals and surpasses some of the best places in Bandra (a really nice area of Mumbai/Bombay if you are not familiar). Also, the story of the place is amazing. There is literally a book written by the owner of this place that details it, the story is amazingly beautiful. I know because I got 2 copies. Anyways, sorry I haven't eaten spoken about the food yet! Before you order a thing, sit at one of the stools at the counter and take a look at the Kitchen. It's not only professional but designed the way a restaurant kitchen is supposed to be (and its spotless). Not order anything off the menu. I ordered from a good portion of the menu and I can tell you everything I tasted it fantastic. Ok I think you get the point. The place is fantastic. There is a very reason it's rating the #2 cafe in Mumbai, it's because it's very well earned. It should be #1 but they opened not too long ago.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's an oasis in Mumbai. Delicious food (I had the omelette both times), amazing coffee and friendly staff. The place has a super nice vibe, and all whilst being for a great cause at it provides employment and a way of life for people that grew up on the streets or in an orphanage. Amazing place, please visit!! And buy the autobiographic book about Amin who set up the cafe.

A Truly Special Place
Today, I stepped into the Bombay to Barcelona Library Café on my own, with the simple intention of finding a peaceful spot to enjoy a coffee. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted with such warmth that I instantly felt at home, despite it being my first visit.
Even though it was a busy Saturday and the café was bustling with people, I was never overlooked. The staff made me feel important, treating me like one of their own. Even though I was alone, I never felt lonely; there was a sense of connection that tied us all together.
The food and beverages are not just tasty—they’re a true comfort for the soul. And then there’s the library, which gives this café a distinctive charm. It’s a place where culture and cuisine come together in a way I haven’t encountered elsewhere. What began as a simple search for a quiet coffee spot turned into an experience full of warmth, comfort, and deep connection.
Before I left, the staff shared with me the story behind the café, and it touched me deeply. The café is run by former street children, and the proceeds go towards building a home for them. For them, this is far more than just a business; they do it from the heart, as a way to express their gratitude.
Experiencing such genuine feelings—so rare and remarkable—is something that can only be found in this café. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t find anywhere else. This place is worth returning to again and again—because it’s so much more than just a café.

If you wanna hangout with your friends or impress someone then take them here . You will find the ambience cool and calm. Ofcourse cherry on a top is a good food which will make your day worth. A small library and a cup of coffee is my favourite pastime here.

Worth it! The food was great, ambiance is amazing.
Their staff are very friendly with the right food and drink recommendations.
Worth it for a good cause to help street children, where they're even trying to get them their own houses.
A must try if you're in Mumbai, and help them wherever possible.

It’s an awesome food place.
The food- The waiter insisted on having the baigan bharta sandwich. I was very sceptical… BUT I LOVED IT!! It was so soft and smooth… never had anything like that before!! It’s a must try, I would say!
The pull it off bun is also very yummy!
They can do better with the carrot cake though.
My friends had sabudana khichdi and creamy mushroom crepe and both were equally delicious!
The cafe has a very interesting story behind it. Do talk to the owners or the staff to know.
Ambience- They have a rack full of books to read from and interesting drinks on the menu… so just take a book and chill. The decor is very aesthetic.
Staff- They are very sweet and full of warmth.
It was so lovely to be there. I want to go there real soon!! 😊

Our friends from Bombay introduced us to Amin. They are part of his incredible journey from a five year old boy living on the streets, to writing and printing his story and following his dream by starting this amazing cafe, run to support more children like Amin. The cafe is a delight, wonderful food, friendly and so very clean. It is a short cab ride from Mumbai airport it is worth the detour to meet Amin and the young people who he teaches a skill for life.

My experience here has been amazing. The stuff and owners are super friendly and caring. Their humanitarian project is incredible. You can tell that they really care about people and environment.
The owner has his own autobiography book. I read a bit of it and seems very nice.
I tried americano twice and it was super tasty.
I totally recommend it not only for the food and the vibe but also to be a part of helping people from the orphanage! :)

Long time back, about 3 years ago I met Amin Sheikh in Goa where I was listening to a talk he gave. Impressed I followed him through social media and today finally I could make it to see in person what a great job this team is doing.
Much more than food, the experience, the smile of all the people, the attention and the happiness they spread is blam for every clients soul.
I take my hat and thank all the team for such a beautiful cafee, a must place for everyone travelling to Mumbai....and it's close to the airport.
