Anu is a real chef. Her food is prepared with love and I could realized that when I did one of her cooking class. The buffet offers a wide choice of fresh food, including, dhal, chapatis, vegetables, currys and always one delicous and huge dessert. It's not cheap comparing to Indian standard, but it's worth each cent and makes you... More

I simply loved being here. I was here with my two little ones and hubby on a holiday. This place gave me what I was looking for on a hot afternoon : - Simple, tasty, fresh, home-cooked meals with local flavors. Wouldn't be worried about feeding my kids here - an informal, cozy setup. My girls jumped and played around... More

Homecooked, healthy food that is a hit with foreigners visiting Mysore or staying a bit longer for some yoga classes around. We found the food a refreshing change from all the regular restaurant food we were having in the trip, so liked it. Basic ambience, seating on the floor (on mattresses) but liked the earthy feel.

I came for lunch. Nothing in the meal stuck out and it seemed like they were going more for health than taste. The bread was cold and slightly stale. The chocolate banana cake however was great. Overall won't be back.

Can't beat the atmosphere and location (so close to KPJAYI!). If you go for lunch, get there right when it starts because once they run out of food, you're out of luck. Evening smoothies can't be beat! They can be made vegan and have lots of options for add-ins. YUM!

Anu's has the most delicious buffet lunch. Amazing smoothies, teas, masala chai. If you go, try the SPECIAL tea - it become my favorite that a day didn't go by without having this delicious hot beverage. WiFi and a comfortable rooftop area perfect for hanging out solo or meeting new or old friends.

I was looking for the place for 20 minutes, only to discover that it's closed offseason, until November. If you're looking for buffet lunch, you can try On Cafe, fire 150rs it's a great value.

The best food in town for lunch and absolutely divine banana smoothies (they are actually entire banana meals in a bowl with added coconut, chocolate or whatever you want in the afternoon and early evening). Fabulous Indian cooking lessons by Anu - an absolute must!

I loved this place. Great home cooked healthy food & really lovely people. Anu and Ganesh has been looking out of the the yoga community for years, they are really good people. The evening "smoothies" are amazing... more like a desert than a drink. You have to eat it with a spoon!

Description
Anu's Bamboo Hut is a small home run seasonal rooftop cafe where we serve healthy vegetarian buffet lunch on all weekdays except Saturdays. We also serve smoothies, lassies, herbal teas, chai, coffee and above all the very popular Chocolate Pie between 5 pm and 7 pm. Wi-Fi facility is free with your order. We started this venture in November 2004 mainly for the visiting yoga students from all over the world who come to practice yoga in Mysore. However our place is open to all vegetarian food lovers. It is possible the food gets over quickly, that is, before 3 pm; if you are a visitor or tourist to Mysore, please call ahead so that we may make sure you have enough to eat when you arrive. Anu also offers vegetarian cooking lessons to those who are enthusiastic to learn how to cook Indian vegetarian food on Saturdays with prior registration. Welcome to Anu's Bamboo Hut!
