The portions served for the price leaves a lot to be desired. The food is not bad but you get a feeling that you are getting fleeced. Tiny portions which are not even enough for one. The alcohol is a rip off.

Visited Tres last week with my dad for lunch. I have always enjoyed the food here and my dad is 60+ so thought given the place and it's standards would be a safe bet to take him for lunch . Have to say had an...extremely disappointing visit. From beginning starting from the flustered person who waited on our table , the whole lunch was doomed . Our server gave us 2 menus one a beverage one and another one . When I asked him that I can't see any burgers or sandwiches in this menu he said oh that's another one and went to get the third menu for us. If I hadn't checked out their menu online before I would have assumed they just have a limited option for us! I placed an order for a mushroom veg neither with fries.we sat at their outside patio area from where their open kitchen is visible . Barely 5 min after placing an order I saw one of their chefs with his mask down texting on his phone and standing right next to another chef who is preparing food. I was livid!!!!! To see them take such a casual approach put me off immediately. I went and complained to someone who I thought was the head chef and he immediately set off to tighten the situation which was good but the damage of seeing this personally had already been done!even though every minute after that we were on tender hooks when the burger came out it , that was the last straw. It looked great but the patty was greasy as hell, and I think they made it in the same pan as the fried eggs as it tasted so eggy!!!! Overall apart from the turmeric booster shot they gave in the beginning nothing will make me go back here again !More
The restaurant design is classy, the service is good, and you can book ahead. There is a varied assortment of cocktails and wine - I had an excellent Margarita pre dinner and my partner had a terrific Gin and Tonic. We decided to share small...plates and ordered four. Each and every one was special in it's own way : the small lamb chops were great, the asparagus with burnt cream was delicious, the onion tart with beetroot and goats cheese divine, and the tofu dish tasty. My only reservation was that all the dishes were quite rich, which is why we didn't feel like main courses. Finished with a selection of cream brulees - very nice. Definitely worth a trip to Tres.More

We went for lunch, for a Friday afternoon, it was surprisingly less populated. We didn't care about that - we got great service and attention. The decor is pleasant.Enjoyed The Lodi G&T coacktail and the Bhtanaese Kati Patang Snappy wheat beer. The king prawn &...sous vide calamari was and excellent subtle falvoured starter. In the mains the Seafood risotto might be good for two, and the Pork and chorizon with prawns was delicous. An afternoon pleasantly satiating and enjoyable. Our compliments to the chef and waiter for making it so.More
Tres is my most often visited and favourite stand alone restaurant in Delhi. This is the only place where I always order 3 courses and every course has always been excellent - an enviable track-record of quality and consistency (including the complimentary bread-basket and accompanying...tapenade) This time TW (The Wife) who is a rabid crab fan ordered the lump crab salad starter, the tenderloin main and Tiramisu for dessert. I went for the Pan-fried Scallops & Iberico ham, Spicy Chorizo & Prawn with Linguine and a Chocolate & Hazelnut Mille Feuille. TW made appropriate yum-yum sounds scything through the Lump Crab salad. The Tenderloin - according to her - needed a bit of perking-up (which we did taking most of it home and making open sandwiches on English mustard & mayo slathered baguette slices with garlic-butter sauteed onions and sliced green chilies, garnished with chopped cherry tomatoes and black olives). The deconstructed Tiramisu was both a visual and culinary delight. My Scallops had a beautifully caramelized outside and was soft and juicy inside - the carambola gel and the volcanic lava salt added subtle flavour and taste counterpoints. The Chorizo and Prawn linguine was warmly comforting and went down a treat with a couple of glasses from a bottle of Malbec (Sadly, they seemed to have cranked up the prices of wines). The Mille Feuille was decadently satisfying.More

We came as part of a large group from work. We ate from a set menu. The food was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Some of the group were vegetarian and were well catered for.

Tres is perhaps best described as an intimate spot for a business lunch. The fancy phrase is doubtless "bespoke dining". The menu is not large but more than adequate. I was here with a friend for lunch and we had the Josper grilled lamb keftas...or meatballs, which were lovely; as an accompaniment, we had a bread platter with a selection of pate, cheeses, and some jams/chutneys. My seafood risotto was surprisingly well done: some Indian restaurants reduce every such dish to a biryani, little aware of the wholly distinct taste of risotto. The rice had the proper texture; there was a touch of saffron, and the seafood was ample for the dish. A lovely experience, I should say. The chef was friendly and came around on more than one occasion to chat with us.More

I have to admit, I wanted to try many things from a very interesting menu but settled for the broccoli-quinoa-rocket salad, artisanal pasta and the creme brulee, the last mentioned being the best I have had in India. It was a great meal, and the...food is innovative, flavourful and delicious. Their portions are just right as well. The service was excellent too. The only thing we didn't like too much was the Mille Feuille. which was strictly alright. Look forward to the next time in Delhi.More
