Lovely restaurant with cocktails and small plates / mains. Many dishes and drinks have interesting and carefully curated combinations of ingredients.

Went to a horrible lunch today Tres Restaurant And Bar - uncooked meat and decorated and sent 45 minutes after we ordered - all dishes were sub optimal - they need to rethink their whole service model even if things break down in the kitchen...they don’t have the right to serve dangerous food ! Not going there anytime soon - let’s see when they can get their act togetherMore

How can a restaurant of their repute serve food which is uncooked and decorated. They think all are fools. Sorry to say the worst experience of my lifetime. Please friends never venture to tres.

It's starting to get a bit monotonous. But since the experience is once again 'excellent' I guess I'll have to put with it! TW (The Wife) who has the appetite of an elephant, but the stomach capacity of an ant decided to innovate and ordered...two starters (instead of a starter and a main) - the chicken liver ice cream and the seafood salad (which after a couple of bites was promptly dispatched to be doggie-bagged to be taken home) For starter I ordered the Iberico ham, layered on rye crisps with tomato jam, caper berries and tiny dollops of some mustardy looking glop. All the ingredients combined perfectly in terms of flavour texture and taste. For mains I had the sous vide cooked New Zealand lamb chops, sarladaise potatoes, asparagus, spinach, bell pepper and lamb reduction. It was without doubt the best lamb chops I have ever had in any restaurant in India. The chops were cooked a shade over medium-rare (totally understandable since they were deep-frozen/defrosted), but still had a nice pinkish tinge when you cut into them. The potatoes were a total delight - light gold in colour with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. But the star was the lamb reduction - dark, deep and rich with with a luxurious mouth-feel. For dessert TW ordered an artistically plated chocolate ganache. I opted for a quenelle of dark chocolate ice-cream studded with perfectly tempered chocolate shards. Having polished off a bottle of the excellent Fratelli Sette we finished our meal with a couple of espressos. PS: Dropped in earlier this week for a quick lunch and had their Chorizo and bacon sandwich - it blows any 5 star hotel Club or otherwise sandwich out of the water,More

The restaurant is at Lodhi colony. Small but the decor is pleasant and more so the service was v good. Paritosh the manager was really good. Though the restaurant was full he went out of the way to accommodate the late reserved arrival. The food...was v good too and deserves a 4 plus rating.More

If a reservation and advance is taken the table has to be available at that time ! No excuses ! Otherwise just take reservations if you cannot ensure the table is available! The food was just not upto the mark in all the things ordered...from duck to the Pasta. Definitely preferred the food flavours of the earlier avtar of Tres . The waiters have to decide if they are serving the guest or leaving the food on the table ! Had been looking forward to trying the food at new Tres but was thoroughly disappointed ☹️More

We ate there to celebrate a birthday, and three of us developed bad stomachs the next day. The dishes have fancy titles but are quite mediocre. Service though was good. Did not turn out to be the kind of celebration we had hoped for. Came...away very disappointed.More

Returned to this restaurant after two years and found it as good as before. Food was tasty and the Chef needs to be complimented on the excellent presentation of each dish. Food is over priced. Rs1000/- for a breast of Chicken is over doing it...! A 10% service charge is added.More

The portions served for the price leaves a lot to be desired. The food is not bad but you get a feeling that you are getting fleeced. Tiny portions which are not even enough for one. The alcohol is a rip off.

Visited Tres last week with my dad for lunch. I have always enjoyed the food here and my dad is 60+ so thought given the place and it's standards would be a safe bet to take him for lunch . Have to say had an...extremely disappointing visit. From beginning starting from the flustered person who waited on our table , the whole lunch was doomed . Our server gave us 2 menus one a beverage one and another one . When I asked him that I can't see any burgers or sandwiches in this menu he said oh that's another one and went to get the third menu for us. If I hadn't checked out their menu online before I would have assumed they just have a limited option for us! I placed an order for a mushroom veg neither with fries.we sat at their outside patio area from where their open kitchen is visible . Barely 5 min after placing an order I saw one of their chefs with his mask down texting on his phone and standing right next to another chef who is preparing food. I was livid!!!!! To see them take such a casual approach put me off immediately. I went and complained to someone who I thought was the head chef and he immediately set off to tighten the situation which was good but the damage of seeing this personally had already been done!even though every minute after that we were on tender hooks when the burger came out it , that was the last straw. It looked great but the patty was greasy as hell, and I think they made it in the same pan as the fried eggs as it tasted so eggy!!!! Overall apart from the turmeric booster shot they gave in the beginning nothing will make me go back here again !More

The restaurant design is classy, the service is good, and you can book ahead. There is a varied assortment of cocktails and wine - I had an excellent Margarita pre dinner and my partner had a terrific Gin and Tonic. We decided to share small...plates and ordered four. Each and every one was special in it's own way : the small lamb chops were great, the asparagus with burnt cream was delicious, the onion tart with beetroot and goats cheese divine, and the tofu dish tasty. My only reservation was that all the dishes were quite rich, which is why we didn't feel like main courses. Finished with a selection of cream brulees - very nice. Definitely worth a trip to Tres.More

We went for lunch, for a Friday afternoon, it was surprisingly less populated. We didn't care about that - we got great service and attention. The decor is pleasant.Enjoyed The Lodi G&T coacktail and the Bhtanaese Kati Patang Snappy wheat beer. The king prawn &...sous vide calamari was and excellent subtle falvoured starter. In the mains the Seafood risotto might be good for two, and the Pork and chorizon with prawns was delicous. An afternoon pleasantly satiating and enjoyable. Our compliments to the chef and waiter for making it so.More

Tres is my most often visited and favourite stand alone restaurant in Delhi. This is the only place where I always order 3 courses and every course has always been excellent - an enviable track-record of quality and consistency (including the complimentary bread-basket and accompanying...tapenade) This time TW (The Wife) who is a rabid crab fan ordered the lump crab salad starter, the tenderloin main and Tiramisu for dessert. I went for the Pan-fried Scallops & Iberico ham, Spicy Chorizo & Prawn with Linguine and a Chocolate & Hazelnut Mille Feuille. TW made appropriate yum-yum sounds scything through the Lump Crab salad. The Tenderloin - according to her - needed a bit of perking-up (which we did taking most of it home and making open sandwiches on English mustard & mayo slathered baguette slices with garlic-butter sauteed onions and sliced green chilies, garnished with chopped cherry tomatoes and black olives). The deconstructed Tiramisu was both a visual and culinary delight. My Scallops had a beautifully caramelized outside and was soft and juicy inside - the carambola gel and the volcanic lava salt added subtle flavour and taste counterpoints. The Chorizo and Prawn linguine was warmly comforting and went down a treat with a couple of glasses from a bottle of Malbec (Sadly, they seemed to have cranked up the prices of wines). The Mille Feuille was decadently satisfying.More
