We went to dinner at this place . We asked the staff to change the regular water as it was not cleaned water . He in return told us to take the mineral water instead of changing the water .In reply we asked him ,...if the food is not UPTO the mark , we should also order the food from outside . The waiter name was Veer Bhadra. Second incident was when , we went to our table for which we waited for , the waiter told us to wait outside as the people came after us will dine in there first ( the people were veer’s known person , and he was giving them special attention) . This kind of behaviour was extremely wrong and unacceptable for us . As we came to dine in , it is his duty to treat us in well behave manner . We have our rights to ask the waiter to give the basic service in polite manner .More

Simply excellent. Outstanding service (my daughter wasn’t keen on her dish so they changed it without hesitation or charge) best meal we have had in our 12 days in India by a long long way. Ps - try the lamb!

Overall the food was really good and tasty but it a was a bit heavy on pockets. Tried Mutton Rogan Josh and Malai Koftwa ... both were nice.

This is the second time I've been here and it did not disappoint. I had mahi fish tikka and tarka dal, this was the best dal I've ever eaten! It's one of those meals that will stay with me and I want to go back...for more... The staff were lovely too. 5 stars. One thing to add, it's a little bit hard to find so check on a map before going there.More

Had couple of dinners here during my 4 day stay at the hotel, and was completely mind-blown. The food can't get any more authentic than this. Everything about the food was perfect. The cooking, the authentic serving dish, the quality. As I was travelling solo...I was not able to sample too many different items (as one is more than enough for a solo person!) but the Veg Biryani was out of this world. The only reason for not giving full stars was the breakfast service that is offered to hotel guests. On all morning occasions I had breakfast the restaurant was not fully cleaned (from previous night's dinner service). The floor wasn't swept, and the bar area still had dirty dishes from the previous dinner service. Not pleasant to walk in to a dirty floor. Sometimes you could even spot a staff member sleeping on the seating couch in the corner. However, the breakfast food (paranthas) is amazingly good! Will defiantly visit again for dinner with family and friends.More

My wife and I wanted a good tandoori and we got it. This place is casual and offers good service and the food is excellent. There are two menus, one vegetarian and the other non veg, and the fare is plentiful without being too extensive....We ate the tandoori chicken and the biryani and were left replete and satisfied. Conveniently located on Connaught Place this restaurant is well worth a visit.More

My boyfriend and I stood at Hotel Palace Heights and had breakfast at Zaffran Restaurant. The staff was so welcoming and kind that we immediately felt at home. Ajay-Charak and Chaman were very lovely with us, having patience with my total impossibility to stand to...spice food and also suggesting and encouraging us to try the delicious Indian food they served there at the breakfast buffet. They also have great masala chai! One of the best I tried during the whole trip. Over dinner, we've been there twice, with different staff. In one of the opportunities the kitchen was able to prepare food without spice, and it was great because I could eat properly. The second time, it was not that easy and one of the waiters was a little bit inpatient with that, what made me give up on trying to eat. But that isolated bad experience was not enough to eclipse the good ones I had at the restaurant. So I still recommend it strongly.More

Worth to try... I ordered veg biryani and dal makhani. Both are taste good, but veg dom biryani was superior to other. It is little over priced compared to its quality.

If you’re visiting New Delhi and are anywhere near Connaught Place (you’re really likely to be!) then seek out this small hotel restaurant for lunch or dinner. It’s not terribly smart (either the building, the hotel or, for that matter, the restaurant) but the food...is truly excellent. It’s located in the Hotel Palace Heights (Radial Road No 6) on one of the many identical turnings off the central circle of Connaught Place. The hotel is two floors up (there’s a doorman to show you into the lift. They do vegetarian and meat dishes. If you do make it be sure to order their “gobi dum dar” (cauliflower cooked in a clay pot). It’s truly delicious. If I’d had more time I would have asked the chef to show me how to make it. I suspect a tandoori oven is required! But lots of the other dishes were excellent too. And the head waiter will give you suggestions. I’ll be back whenever I get to Delhi! Be sure to do the same.More
