Food was okay but the customer service is one of the worst i've experienced. The waiters get impatient really quickly. Definetely won't go back again.

We had a very nice meal at a local place, I would recommend going upstairs. Food was very good and easy, It's a bit oily and not light, but proper local Sri Lankan food. If you are in Kandy, you should stop at this place

We were told by every local we met that this was THE place to eat in Kandy. We heard from other tourists not so favourable things when it came to the interior and hygiene. However we found it to be an extremely pleasant experience. The...restaurant was how you would expect for a casual eatery, and felt authentic (but definitely clean). The food was RIDICULOUSLY good. The kotthu was wonderful, but the fried paratha was fantastic too. The portion sizes are massive and the prices are so good. We were the only tourists dining in but they treated us like locals and didn’t make us feel out of place there at all. Don’t miss this place if you’re staying in Kandy.More

We had a very cheap, local, authentic meal from here. Don't assume that it's going to be the same experience as a five star hotel - it definitely isn't - but you will get some good food

We were given a recommendation for this restaurant from a local person. We were nervous as we approached the establishment. We were shown to a table at the rear of the restaurant as we needed extra room for the pushchair. The menu we were given...was not the cleanest but not to be put off we decided to order. The adults had curry, noodles and rice. The children had the bread and chocolate paratha. The drinks were freshly squeezed and were refreshing. When the food arrived we were pleasantly impressed. It was well presented and freshly cooked. We enjoyed the meal greatly and if we were staying longer would definitely returned here for further meals. Best of all it was incredible value being a tenth of the price of the hotel food. I would recommend anyone in this area of Kandy Sri Lanka to visit here at least once. One point to be aware of English did not appear to be widely spoken but all made effort to be understood. I must say the English spoken is hugely better than my Sri Lankan!More

Was looking forward to this from reviews despite the rather grubby looking interior. Food was average and the vegetarian biryani definitely had a piece of chicken in it. But fair play they deducted 110 rupees off the bill.

The place is quite an institution in Kandy and not to be missed experience for food lovers - the fried paratha is one of the best things I ate in Sri Lanka! It's basically a paratha bread version of kottu, even more scrumptious than the...roti original. Doesn't look like much but tastes heavenly!More

As my first time in Asia, this restaurant gives you a great example of what to expect here. Nice and kind people give you a kind service always with a nice smile and keen to help and assist you with the food, names, flavors, etc,...everything will be different but they can explain and help you to understand ingredients and everything.More
