Moha has a good service and food. There are lots of photos and signatures of actors and actress in the wall of the restaurant. In the restaurant, there are heater to make consumers warm.
More
During our stay in Ouarzazad we came twice to Dimitri restaurant because the tajine with chicken and lemon was just fantastic. Also the service by waiter Moha is awesome. Very nice place that serves real good food! We loved it!
This family restaurant began in 1928 and passed down thru the family. Its menu shows an international cuisine with attention to detail. A vast range of dishes can be chosen from American, European and Moroccan cuisines.
We started out with a salad Nicoise accompanied with...a glass of a delightful white wine. Then, I ordered a lamb tagine with apricots and toasted sesame seeds that was to die for. My wife chose the Moussaka with eggplant, ground lamb, potatoes and bechamel sauce. She did not go wrong as the restaurant's Greek heritage showed through.
We both shared a Castello Trebbio Chianti with our meal. For dessert, we shared a crepe style pancake with burnt Gran Marnier sauce. How delicious is that. If you're ever in Ouarzazate, do not think that you are in a food desert as Chez Dimitri could be located anywhere and shine. It just happens to shine in the Moroccan desert.More
While the name suggest the restaurant is Greek and offers Greek dishes we found our duck dish and cream brûlée closer to French. The frittata starter was also excellent. We found the menu variety good as well as the prices. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
This is the most expensive and tourist restaurant in downtown. The juice is double the price and half as big as in other restaurants, the appetizers are chips instead of olives.
I took the moussaka what is the most famous dish in the restaurant. It...was delicious but a bit small. I got only two slices of bread.
The service is correct but not as welcoming as other restaurants.More
Dimitri's has been a favorite for everyone staying in Ouarzazate for years and continues to deserve its reputation for serving up some of the very best food in town at reasonable prices with a decent wine list. Tour groups have, alas, started to book the...place out and on one occasion this trip we were surrounded by the very worst in bad-tourist behaviour which was being stirred on by the guide. This is not the restaurant's fault, of course. The second time we ate there this trip conditions were more civilized, so if you are in town for a few nights, check on the bookings! As ever the camel tajine is a favorite, and if you are travelling in Morocco for a while, it's wonderful to have moussaka for a change from cous-cous and tajines--BUT the chicken with figs and plums is still a signature dish here and not to be ignored. The wine list is good but prices are getting a bit steep for the finer Meknes wines.More
