Mr Shaunak,
Greetings from Thai n Wok.
You say you ordered Chicken Dimsums and say it was flavourless and came with a meagre amount of chicken..... It is a steamed item and the only flavour you would get is chicken and its the sauces that are given along which makes it tasty and its a starter which comes with 80grms of chicken. When you say " We had some noodles, I think something like Phad Thai, which wasn't satisfactory" clearly shows your knowledge on Thai food. You say it was very sour, which if you felt so it could have toned down to your taste, as it is your taste buds. The 4 s's that make up Thai food is Sweet, Sour, Spicy and Saulty. We were official caterers for the Prime Minister of Thailand and the whole Thai delegation For BRICKS'16, and the Thai Prime Minister's favourite was Kha Tom, Phad Thai and Kao Phad. We've had Thai delegates, international visiters and both Indian and our local Goan guests visit our restaurant and raved about our food and some have even reviewed us on TripAdvisor which you can see for yourself. We are the only Thai restaurant in India that has received the THAI SELECT award which is an international body. We pride ourselves on our Thai Food and as we say " It's Thai, Yes it's Authentic". No, where have we said our Chinese food is authentic or the best....we refer to it as Oriental. The Chinese food served in India is not authentic and is the Indianised form. Yes we do have Authentic Chinese restaurants in India but they will be in the 5* hotels or like Nelson Wong's. One mans food could be another man's poison. You mentioned Goenchin.... The Quenim family enjoy our food which is obvious by their frequent visits. We've had many guest visit us from the Marriott and made negative comments and it is not our business. Your ranking as 5th in Goa is all about quantity of reviews and that doesn't make you a connoisseur on food to me. I'm not hostile to your criticism but just fail to understand the comments on comparison and your knowledge on Thai food. I've been in the hospitality industry for the last 33 years and i'm still learning. I visit many hotels and restaurants, both in Goa, India and foreign destinations and always enjoy my self..... because i believe in live criticism... right there and then. You say you won't visit again...... BUT if you change your mind it would be great to have you again.
