What began as a quaint, little restaurant with Cafe Ritz Restaurant & Bar in the heart of Panjim City serving the traditional Goan food soon expanded to Ritz Classic. Ritz Classic now has a total of 5 locations. The Ritz Classic is one of the local's favorite fish restaurants. It is a big restaurant that is full for lunch every day, so don't come too late or book a table. They serve many different fish dishes, but the favorite is the fish thali, which is the best in town and it is not expensive at all. You get kingfish, clams, mackerel and prawns etc. in various spicy sauces. Thali is served for lunch only.

Our dinner with family and friends at Ritz Classic turned out to be a delightful experience. After a book club meeting, we were quite hungry and trooped into the restaurant with high hopes. We more than rewarded by the quality of food. Everything was just right. I am not familiar with the Goan names and so find it difficult to name them. Whatever my son ordered was super. Something called prawn balchao simply took the cake. Even their dessert of caramel custard was simply Divine.

Lovely small pieces of king fish and I was able to substitute the plain rice with some garlic naan. It was quiet with more staff than customers. So I got great service. Love the lemon ginger bowls.

Ritz Classic Panjim is one of the many branches of Ritz chain of restaurants in Goa deliver authentic Goan food. At Panjim the restaurant is located on a busy by lane on the first floor of the building. Don't be confused by the narrow entrance....inside you have a decent restaurant. The place is quite popular and generally over crowded and hence one need to time up his visit well before the normal meal timings. The most sought after signature dish at the restaurant is fish thali which is an assortment of all imaginable seafood varieties accompanied by rice and chapathi. Any one with seafood allergic history be careful ! Traditional chicken Xacuti and chicken cafreal are also delightful. Service is excellent ...considering the heavy crowd. They do their best to make clients as much comfortable as possible . Overall it was an experience worth every effort and easy on the pocket too...

The fish thali was served with uncleaned cooked prawns!?:-(
prefer to include a fruit banana instead of sweet vermecelli. Include a dal curry/veg/salad instead of the red spicy sardine.
Finger bowl is recommended considering covid.
No social distancing observed. Sanitization poor.

Had food at three different outlets of Ritz Classic Panaji Bis Stand , Town and Panjim Gymkhama.The ambience and food.is best at Panjim Gymkhana . Food equally good in the town outlet . Dinner a la carte menu at the Bus stand / Pato outlet is disappointing and best avoided.

Our recent dining experience at Ritz Classic was nothing short of delightful, particularly for someone who relishes local seafood. The highlight, without a doubt, was their show fish—a concept that not only showcases the freshness of their offerings but also allows patrons to pick from an extensive variety of seafood, prepared in numerous ways. We opted for the pomfret fish and crab, both of which were cooked to perfection, bringing out the delicate flavors and textures of the seafood.
The staff at Ritz Classic deserves a special mention for their politeness and dedication. It's rare to find such attentive and genuinely caring service, which greatly enhanced our dining experience. They were knowledgeable, offering recommendations tailored to our tastes and dietary preferences, ensuring that our meal was nothing short of perfect.
However, the ambiance of Ritz Classic might not be to everyone's liking. While some may appreciate the straightforward, no-frills setting, others might find it lacking, especially if they're expecting a more upscale dining environment. This aspect, though, does little to detract from the overall experience, especially when considering the exceptional quality of the food and service.

It was a lunch rush where u will have to wait to get hold f a table as soon as the one there gets up. traditional goan food was tasty. We tried some talli meals. Molluscs dish given as side dish was good. Goan rice was not available. Chonak fry was good. Vindaloo chicken was not great.avoid chappatis they r too hard. Xacutti chicken was also good. Had a few beers too. It's worth going to , to have a taste of goan cuisine .

We ordered food items. Some items were tasty. But 1 item of chicken was uncooked so I requested waiter to change the same. but the attitude of waiter was worse. He just was arguing with us. The attitude was worse. It happened yesterday dinner time. In ritz classic mercado mall. I hope the waiters are replaced.

Restaurant is old & crowded during lunch time as it is located in business area of Panjim. Once you are seated at a table, you will be presented with an exhaustive menu of goan food, including sea food. Fish is prepared in 7 or 8 ways, which you can choose. We opted for Rawa fried Chonak, prawns, squid, prawn curry thali. Fish was fresh, cooked perfectly. Virgin Pina Colada was awesome & do was Sol Kadi. Would have preferred it to be chilled before serving. Overall, a good option for lunch.

I have been visiting this place since 22 years. I have always found the food it was very good value for the money they charged. This time the solkadi did not have any coconut it was terrible we had to return it. The thali was below average. The food quality was very bad. Even the shellfish Sukka was not tasty as it used to be. The meal was definitely not prepared with love and care for the customer. I was extremely disappointed.

Visited for family lunch on 28 th Oct . Reached by 2pm . Ordered fish thali which is famous . To our surprise waiting time was 45 min n then manager alloted table on randomly with no proper Q or management.
Food served with No prawns in prawn curry . On checking with waiter ,Was told that now we serve it like this type of qty only. Fried fish was also odd shape , don't think it was kingfish.
I checked around n came to know that food for thali was over n no one after us were served fish thali as food was finished.
We could have told that thali is over n we could have ordered from menu.
We wasted money in Rits. Lost its old charm . Taking business for granted
NOT WORTH VISITING.

Visited this place during my Goa visit and ate vegetarian thali including daal, mixed vegetable sabji, naan, rice, salad, papad, paneer masala and rabdi. The restaurant location and interiors are very tastefully done. the service is very prompt and the attitude of the staffs are very friendly. the food was appropriately spiced to suit the taste pallette of seniors and childern as they were part of our group.
this place is bustling with people, but you will not be left unattended. Do try this place as it offers both veg and non-veg options.

We reached at 10.35pm only after asking the door man before entering if the restaurant if they are open for dinner service.
Post entering the restaurant they waiting staff had very unwelcoming body language and behaviour, we had to ask them for seat in an empty restaurant with only 4 tables occupied.
The waiter who seated us was very rude and mentioned that it would be the last order as they would close the service.
We ordered for soups starters and mains and got them in one go on the table.
We ordered both the soups non veg but received one veg soup, the Chonak fry served was burnt and the sweet corn soup had raw egg smell. The food was really not of that standards we had in Ritz since last 12 years, the quality has gone down, definitely not value for money.
To our surprise we were charged for the non veg soup post serving one veg soup.
The waiter was arguing.
Overall it was an evening which we paid for getting disrespected and low quality food.
Please don't serve food post 10.30pm if your staff has challenges in serving.
Definitely would not recommend and visit this place.
