Looking to change it up a bit we found this little Mexican restaurant for a change. Food was expensive by Ecuadorian standards but worth it. Free handmade chips and guacamole were excellent. Burritos and tacos tasted good as well. This was the best choice for Mexican food in Otavalo

Was staying in Quito, and decided to take a day trip out to Otovalo market. Looked on trip advisor and found this place; had good reviews and good prices. We were not disappointed! The food was very delicious, and a good interpretation of Mexican food! If you read other reviews you will see that the guacamole is legendary, and these... More

I hunted this down after reading about it in Lonely Planet and it was definitely worth it. I had enchiladas which were delicious, and the guacamole is amazing! Really friendly owner too. Sad that I didn't have time to go back and try more from the menu.

Yes, being a vegan and eating out is not easy in Ecuador. I was not expecting much when I heard about a restaurant called Taco Bello. Images of that fast food chain by almost the same name in the United States. Was I ever surprised though. The moment you enter you are warmly greeted. Explaining that I was a vegan... More

Our group ended up visiting Carlos in his restaurant 3 times, and each time we felt exceptionally welcomed. Serving great Mexican food, at amazing prices, certainly if you visit for an almuzero. I ate tacos, burritos and a hamburger all of which were cooked very nicely and tasted great. The absolutely best thing was the guacamole, which was a hit... More

This isn't your typical "American Mexican" food. Incredibly fresh and delicious and at an unbelievably good price. $2.50 will get you the menu of the day with plenty of options. Fresh tortilla for starters, then a soup, then the main plate of your choice (chimichangas is my personal favorite). You also of the option of the a la carte menu... More

The guacamole was outstanding to start. I ordered the Fiesta Platter which had tacos, a quesadilla, taquitos and a burrito. All tasted fresh and delicious, this was a great find.
