Food good, local, but poor knowledge of the ingredients in the meals. I specifically asked twice if a meal is cooked without meat and was said that of course, meat is only on the side. So I ordered it and got little pieces of meat inside the dish. Very disappointing, and when I pretty obviously mad told the staff about it, their only answer was that it's usually cooked without meat. That's it, not even an apology and they even charges us for it. Too bad because the setting is nice and the food is very freshly cooked but this is just not ok.

Felt a little cheated.
Very nice , something secret, no menu or prices. We thought something homemade on something cheaper than downtown, but 😊
We wanted two soups as starters, got a giant bowl.
We wanted two salads, got a giant bowl.
Our portions of 3pcs of zagrebacki and a roast were all on more than 500g of meat each. Nothing we could eat and that they charged a lot for.
Everything was exaggerated and calculated it felt like, unfortunately. Not a good experience. After all.

Excellent homemade food, big portions, good value for money. Nice customer service. Family atmosfere and since we were there with a kid, they were super nice to him. I also saw a dog at the table near by, so they are pet friendly too. From now on, the only place we are eating in Samobor.

The food was VERY good & surprisingly affordable, the matrons was very gracious and the terrace was very pleasant. Great place to to stop if traveling to or from Zagreb!

My wife and I walked up the hill to this charming restaurant for lunch during the week. It was suggested that we have their roasted veal shank and potatoes. It was wonderful but huge. We started with a plain green salad that had some of the best tasting tomatoes. And the house white wine went perfectly with the meal. They were not busy, so can not comment on service; ours was attentive and helpful.

Perfect place for a relaxed afternoon lunch - wonderful rustic traditional food in atmospheric surroundings with attentive service.
The smoked pork and deer in paprika sauce was sublime - as was the slow cooked beef and chicken. Seek out this little gem in Samobor.

Once cult restaurant in Samobor has become a funny place to call itself a restaurant! To say at the very beginning food is very good but offer is redicilous. Thanks to ozr friend who called and asked for some dishes, they have prepared it for us, but out of that we got just leftovers from lunch. They didn’t have a single bottle of sparkling wine or any wine, no desserts, ...i wanted to give them 1, but due to the tasteful food I gave them 3

We went here for a sunday lunch. Everyone took a different meal, so we can try as many we could.
I must say - the chef is wow. The dishes were soooooo delicious, and such a big portions - we couldn't eat everything.
One portion of the soup is enough for three people - just so you know.
The staff was extremly friendly and polite.
Book a table before arrival, cause on sunday it's pretty much crowdy.

I went here with my girlfriend for a lunch. It is near Samobor city centre so we did a bit of sightseeing too. Samobor is a great little town for relaxing walks. The restaurant itself is maybe a bit harder to locate but if you want a great meal you will certainly find it quickly. Inside the restaurant you can see really nice decorations. Lots of antique clocks and old pictures of Samobor. My girlfriend ordered fried turkey breast with sezame and croquettes and it was really tasty. I ordered a venison stew which was extremely tasty. All of the ingridients are from local vendors so I really recommend every meal which the host offers to you. I think the host was also the owner so there is a bit of family atmosphere inside the restaurant. It's a bit small but you can come with a group also.

I was here with my family. The food was extremely tasteful. We had specialties recommended by the chef. Everything was prepared with superior taste and look. This restaurant is really good. You can eat local/Croatian/Samobor food specialties prepared with care and love for cooking and food. Chef is really good and he personally came to us and asked if everything is all right. Of course it was. Interior is not large so you need to make reservation for weekend. Parking is available in front for five cars or in the street above. City center is just 5 minutes by foot down. I will visit this restaurant again for sure.
