Lloyd's is a great place to eat some home-cooking in a friendly atmosphere. Growing up, the older folks always wanted to go to Lloyd's to eat. I never really understood why. As I have grown older, I now know. Good food! Fair prices! Family feeling!

Consistently excellent fried catfish filet with best hush puppies in town! We have been eating at Lloyd's for almost 50 years and have rarely been disappointed.

Absolutely delicious food!! Locals took us here, and they knew the owner. He found out that we were "northeners", and brought a sampler to our table- with fried green tomatoes, okra, and chicken wings. It also had yams, fritters, turnip greens, okra and tomatoes. Then after our meal, he brought us "real southern banana pudding " My husband said it was... More

I have been to Lloyds a couple of times in the past month or so and have been disappointed. The food is fair and the last time took a long time to get served. I didn't eat what I ordered the last time as it wasn't very good. There are a lot better options in the area

My wife and I were passing through Birmingham recently and needed a place to eat. We get tired of eating the same food - we wanted to "break the chain" for lunch. Well, we saw that Lloyd's was packed at lunch time. We almost said, "it's too crowded" but went anyway. Wow! It was packed because this is where the... More

Nothing fancy, just real southern hospitality and food. Lunchtime visit satisfied four of us without costing much.. Waitress couldn't do enough.

My dad had their fried oysters and couldn't stop saying how great they were. I got their homemade banana pudding and it was delicious.

We love to eat at Lloyd's. It's a quaint diner that serves southern food and the staff is very friendly. The coconut pie is delish! They have a variety of vegetables - my son loves the sweet candied yams. My husband likes the fried shrimp.

I look at a successful restaurant as having excellence in service, food and ambiance. At Lloyd's the service was very good while the food average and ambiance needing improvement. Service: Our server was Trina and she was very friendly and welcoming, She did well to check on us and was very attentive. Although she could have been more suggestive in... More
