After reading a few mixed reviews, we went for this cooking class as it looked the most authentic & the owner who we met in his restaurant seemed really keen to give us the best experience. It was the right decision! Amazing walk around the market in the morning, followed by hours at his home (with his parents & family)... More

The class was great fun and Vernak was a great host and teacher. First we went to the local market to buy the ingredients, this was a real eye opener. Then we went to his house in the country to cook. We cooked fish amok and fried morning glory. Both are traditional dishes. Spending time with Vernak gave you a... More

Filthy. Disgusting, and in not squeamish when travelling. The mojito looked like sump water, took more than 20mins to serve. We tried to cancel our order and leave but the owner demanded payment anyway. He was more interested in selling motorcycle parking than running a cafe. Eventually compromised and had our meal, ok but had to go somewhere else. I'd... More

This family run cookery school is excellent value for money and great fun. The class starts at the market to buy all the fresh ingredients. Then over to the cookery school. Students prepare everything including the pastes and the coconut milk. The food I cooked was delicious

Just did it and loved it! Vannak is a good chef and a great human being that will not only share his recipes with you but also his ideas so do not hesitate to ask him any question you have in mind about anything. At the end you will receive written recipes that will allow you to cook Khmer-asian food... More

I try to do a cooking class in each country I go to and this is the 6th class in Asia. The price of 10 dollars seemed too good to be true as most classes are 40 to 50 dollars but as the reviews were so good I booked. I met Vannak at the restaurant at 0900. It was only... More

I took the cooking class with Van, happened to luck out as I was only one in the class that day (Monday). Started with a trip to the market, not the busy one in the center of town but more local and organic towards the south of Battambang. From there we took a quick ride to Van's house where we... More

We had a good fresh meal at this restaurant. We had 10 different main coarses and with drinks and it cost around $15 each. Right at the end of the meal one of the waiters was chasing a rat which ran across the road and he said that he has been chasing it for 20 times and the rat has... More

This place is the real deal. Don't get suckered into going into The White Rose (tourist death trap). Walk one more block and eat here. I'm currently on a steady regimen of fish amok and this one doesn't disappoint. Great flavors. We also loved the mushroom dish (we chose fish) and the fish was cooked to perfection. My husband had...
