I found this one Eater 38 which is usually spot-on but I found it to be pretty average pizza. We got the mista (with pickles?) which was good, nice and crispy, but nothing to write home about. Try out tribas up the road. Cheaper and more delicious.

We went there with our son, daughter and daughter's girlfriend. We waited a bit to get a table. It is a small place looking like a bar (Boteco) and not a Italian pizzeria. Pizza is thin, crispy and topped with very fine products offering wide range of nice options. The place delights vegetarian and non vegetarian people and price are... More

This place is unpretentious in appearance, extremely simple, but it was SO GOOD to have a quality pizza in the middle of Brazilian cuisine. I was tired of all the fried cuisine I was finding in the district during my holidays, and I found this gem: really good ingredients, the Italian home food vibe, great service and attitude. I was... One of the best pizzas in Rio. Try the one with aubergines, zuchhini and cashew nuts. Its in a garage on the way up to santa teresa but the charm remains on that. The owner does not want to expand and closes on sundays! The good thing about that is that the quality is always on top!

One of the best if not THE best pizzeria in Rio De Janeiro! In this small (Small) place of only 10 tables, the owner Chico is doing magic! Thine crust pizza served in many exotic and original flavors that will make you happy :) This pizza gives proud to the Italian tradition. Everything is delicious! You will find everything: from... You couldn't tell by their looks that they make amazing pizza here - but they do. Chico's pizza is just there in terms of quality and taste with the best I've tried in New York and Buenos Aires, where Italian heritage is taken seriously. And it won't burn a hole in your pocket either. They do deliveries too, if you... More

I had dinner here one night. I was the first person in there but by the time I finished there was a big queue to get a seat! - The Pizza's are huge. Even the Personal size is what we would call almost-a-large anywhere else. Luckily the waitress warned me off buying a medium just for myself. - I thought... More

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
