We ate here six times during our 11 night stay in Buzios. This is a simple restaurant that just concentrates on fresh fish. It is not fancy, but very clean, with friendly efficient waiting staff. It is located on the beach front with lovely views out to sea. We tried lost lots of dishes, the grilled lobster, grouper, calamari and... More

Búzios has a good choice of international quality restaurants but some times it maybe very rewarding getting beyond the comfort zone a try a little of the local flavour. The first challenge is to overcome the language barrier since most restaurants like O Barco doesn't necessarily have an english speaking waiter but wait don't give up on the first attempt.... More

Small and quaint, not smart and stanly, this traditional little restaurant served up a nice fish stew but the fish I chose was a bit dry and tasteless. However maybe we were unlucky as every evening it was packed with tourists and locals alike. Reasonable prices and value for. money but get there early if you want to get a... More

We eat twice at O Barco. The fish (grouper) and lobster are great and the prices are amazing (less than £20 for a lobster dinner). The caipirinhas at BRL 10 are not to be missed either. Highly recommend.

If you´re going to locate your fish restaurant anywhere, may as well site it next to the busiest fishmonger and a few yards from where the individual fishermen pitch up each morning to empty their nets. O Barco is fish, fish, fish. Technically there is also a steak on the menu, but this is not a place to take a... More

Simple place on the sea front with excellent choice of seafood. The starters are huge ( especially the fried ones ), so don't order too much, other than that - go for it.

The waiters were very nice but please the bathroom needs a face lift ASAP. I got the deep fried fish and it was very fresh and delicious! Great Location! Try to get a table in the front I will return to the restaurant but please fix the bathroom!

Have enjoyed two lunches here. The lobster with caper sauce was yummy, but the grilled white grouper took it it to first base. Very busy little place and for good reason.

Simple restaurant serving seafood looking over the ocean. We ordered lobster for two and it came with a salad and rice ... enjoyed my meal but it took awhile to get our food and when my lobster came out it was raw and not cooked all the way we had to send it back to get cooked longer. Not like... More

As a local described it, this restaurant is "very Buziano." Local, fresh, unassuming, friendly, no fancy ingredients, value priced. We loved the grilled lobster and grilled shrimp, isca de peixe (breaded chunks of fish) appetizer. Plan for leisurely delivery of your order, because everything is fresh-made. Great service from our server Obama (nicknamed because he is a double for a... More
