We went there before a show at the PAC with almost two hours to spare, we notified them that we had a show. As we did not have a reservation, we were offered seats at the bar for dinner four 4 which was greatly appreciated. We had great bar service; I was trying to decide between two wines and they... Distinctive restaurant and bar on College Avenue nestled in a 19th century building with exposed brick walls. Great drinks, unique menu (try a meatloaf cupcake appetizer) and wonderful ambience.

Stopped in to get a nice romantic meal with my husband. We were immediately shown to a table and were given the best service by a waiter I've had in Appleton in years. My date had steak, I had fish and both were excellent. Enjoyed the jazz band so much that we moved to the bar after we ate so... More

We had a guest who has quite a few food allergies and were very glad we chose Cena. The menu and the waitress were extremely helpful in working with our guest. The food we had was terrific, unusual combinations and lovely presentations. Great veggie options. We skipped dessert, though were sorely tempted!

There have been a handful of restaurants at this location over the decades but Cena has got the recipe right. The atmosphere is classic, quiet and warm (exposed brick and tin ceilings). The menu is small but every item is well done (artisanal is how folks describe it). The Bartender Brian (the fixture at the location over the years) truly... More

What an exceptional gem in old Appleton, from the exposed brick and the tin patterned high ceilings and the live jazz band our Valentine's Day dinner was fabulous. Our vegan eating choices were met with great success from appetizers to main courses. The deserts were to die for and i have to admit we had a little dairy in each,... More

Nice people and a lovely meal. We ate at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. The meal itself was unique and delicious. If you are staying in Appleton, I would highly recommend checking it out.

When I was in Northern Italy in the mid-1980s, I happened upon a tiny restaurant in the small mountain village of Bolzano that left me breathless with it's homey but sophisticated cuisine and candle-lit ambiance. Thankfully, backpackers were welcome and stuttering Italian from an English speaker was embraced with robust enthusiasm. They threw me English; I threw them Italian and... More

2nd time to Cena, it can be passed up on busy college ave. However, the craft drinks and hardy food is always a treat!

We decided to dine here due to a recommendation from a local bartender. It didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and communicated well to let us know when our table would be ready. The food was very good (the Mediterranean nachos!), good selection of wine too. Had an upscale, modern, trendy feel.
