The restaurant opens at 9:30, but the reception machine starts working at 9:00. On holidays during the cherry blossom festival season, about 10 groups are lined up in front of the gate at 9:00. There are six seats on the terrace and three indoors, so if you are the 10th group, you won't be able to enter until after 10:00. Once you've checked in, they'll call you by smartphone, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing at the adjacent Fujita Garden or nearby Hirosaki Park.

It's good for enjoying the atmosphere. It was crowded even on a weekday near closing time. By chance, we were able to sit on the terrace with a view of the garden and enjoyed the snowy scenery. *Seating is limited to 60 minutes. On the day of our visit, all the apple pies were sold out, so we ordered Newton's apple parfait and tea. The apple mousse, the specialty of the parfait, is served in its original state as a sorbet, and the tea is served in small cups rather than a pot. Please accept that the cost-effectiveness is all part of the price as it is for the atmosphere and enjoy yourself.

Located near the entrance of the Fujita Meemorial Garden, near the Hirosaki Castle. You do not need to pay for admission to the tea house, but for other parts of the garden. We arrived quite late in the afternoon, only 40 minutes before closing. The tea house was full. We waited for about 10 minutes and finally got a table sitting in the garden. The garden is an enclosed glass house. The house is a historical building, and with some souvenir on sale. Many items on the menu is sold out so we just ordered coffee and an apple pie. Both items are excellent, as well as service. One last note, the restaurant is closed at 4:30pm.

Weekends and holidays are crowded. Book with a QR code and see the garden until your turn, then return to Romankan for a free piano concert! When it was my turn to take my seat, there were two pairs of C-country families in the room, and the atmosphere and the piano sound from the next room were all messed up.

After reading about the apple cakes we thought we would try some. The surroundings are lovely and we managed to get a table overlooking the park which was a bonus. The apple cakes were lovely.

Had a crepe and apple pie there in a sunny afternoon. Also ordered a cold tea apple (tea+apple juice). They took me to a seat which faces to garden so I ate tasty pie with pretty view. Would like to come again if I have extra time.

You must try apple pie when you go Hirosaki. Taisho Roman Tea Room (大正浪漫) is located nearby Hirosaki Castle. It has different types of apple pies to choose, just base on the seasons and your preference. You could order a tea set too. What so nice is it offers Aomori apple tea, which you can’t really find in other cafe there. I missed the chance to try the unique Apple Curry Rice there, I would like try next time. You may also buy some souvenirs at Taisho Roman. It’s decoration is kind of like a European style, maybe due to Meiji Restoration?! Nice tea room and apple pie in Hirosaki!!

This is a cafe located in the Western-style building of the Fujita Memorial Garden. I thought the entire building was a cafe, but only one room and the terrace are open as a cafe, and the rest can be viewed as a normal Western-style building. You are free to enter the room where materials about Mr. Fujita who created the garden are displayed, the hall with the piano, and the fireplace room. There is a conference room on the second floor, which can also be used by reservation. The door just inside the entrance leads to the cafe. In addition to the cash register, there is a shelf selling small items and souvenirs, and a table set with square and round tables. You can also go out to the terrace seats, where there were about 4 to 5 table sets. When you enter the cafe, you will be asked if you would like to use the terrace seats, but you will not be allowed to move from the indoor tables to the terrace seats, so if the restaurant is full, you will have to wait in line. If you want to sit on the terrace, you should be prepared to wait. There are always 4-5 apple pies on display here, so if you're going on an apple pie tour, this is the place to visit. I ordered an apple pie from Yumeringo Farm, which I'd never tried before, and coffee. It's warmed in the oven before being served, so you can enjoy it while it's crispy. The apple pie itself was delicious. Eating delicious apple pie while looking at the beautiful buildings and gardens in a Meiji era Western-style building is an experience you won't have very often. If you come to Hirosaki, be sure to check it out.
