We were seated immediately. The service was ok but nothing to write home about. We got a 12" meatball sub. It was a disappointment. You got no chips with it unless you wanted to pay for french fries. It cost us $12.00 & not worth...the money. There were 6 meatballs about the size of quarters. More bread than anything. They brought us our food & nobody ever came to check on us until I ask for our bill. Won't be recommending or going back here any time soon. To many other places to try.More

I was alone. I was hungry. I was driving around aimlessly. I found this restaurant on accident and was so happy. I like to try new things and I love Italian food. Stromboli was massive, delicious, and stuffed to the brim with filing! The marinara...sauce was rich and tomatoy. Oreo cheesecake made a great dessert and a yummy breakfast... Yum. I ordered to go and they were very quick. The regulars were greeted warmly by staff and the restaurant clearly was a favorite for a reason.More

Whenever we reach our kids in Ashland, this is the Friday night dinner place, as it’s their regular every Friday nite choice!! We have had the Stromboli, the calzones, the chef salads, and the steak and cheese to name a few. The food is fresh,...good and plentiful for a great price. In a shopping plaza too, so very convenient if you want to eat then shop.More

Great Italian food. Fresh, crisp salad with wonderful Italian dressing. Shrimp Alfredo was exceptional. Our waitress Scarlett was very friendly and efficient.

Brick Oven Bistro is near the Ashland Walmart so we usually stop in for lunch before going to the Walmart. There is always a nice, large lunch crowd but seating has always been fast and available. Have sampled a few of the Italian dinner items...and none have disappointed, nice ample servings and authentic Italian taste. My go-to lunch item is their supreme steak and cheese sub, it is always piping hot with plenty of melted mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, peppers, and onions served up with your choice of crinkle, curly or steak fries. The steak fries are also piping hot and stacked high. Price is reasonable, for a 6" sub and lot's of fries (more than enough) I believe runs around 6.99. Staff is outgoing, helpful and more than attentive and friendly. One of the best restaurants' in Ashland. (Alcohol served here) There is also a nice, large patio area if you choose to eat outside.More

Calzones are exceptional as are the pizzas. The lasagna is the best around. Get a salad because the house dressing is Italian dressing done right. Garlic knots are small but ok. Burgers are good and so are the thick steak fries. Nice wait staff too...Amy...and Scarlett will take care of you and ensure your dining pleasure. Modest price too!!More

We were traveling for a couple days and motel suggested this restaurant for dinner. They were correct in every aspect. Thr pizza was hot, cheesy and delicious. The restaurant was very clean and quaint. The servers were fast and friendly and the prices were good...too. This is a great Italian restaurant to go to if in Ashland, Va.More

Rainy day in Ashland. Out and about and needing lunch. Stopped into Brick Oven. Haven't been there in awhile. Still sterile looking with good solid food. GREAT stromboli that my husband loves and a decent Hoagie (though Philly would NOT be proud, it's the South...so as good as it gets.) Service without a smile but she didn't speak much English so good enough. Good basic cheap food that is so much more authentic and palatable than the new Marcos that opened up the street.More
