They start you off with complementary warm soft pretzels and a great horseradish mustard dipping sauce. Happy hour from 4-7, and very friendly servers who are also very attentive. Went there three nights during our stay and had different servers and different food, all of which was very good.

Even with a large family gathering (18 of us), we were served efficiently. It helped that one person was handling the total bill. Nice range of local brews (I had Irish Red) and large portions of food (Cajun Chicken Pasta for me, Crab cakes for my wife).

We decided to try this "pub" because it was right across the street from our hotel (The Grand Hyatt; excellent!!) Even on a random Sunday afternoon in Feb this joint does a thriving business and, from the looks of it, has a loyal following of "regulars". The ambience is lively (but not Buffalo Wild Wings loud) and it caters to... More

When visiting the Shirlington area of Arlington I try to stop in at Capital City albeit only once a year or so. They brew their own very good beers on-site. Though everything on the menu is usually good today's lunch special of the triple decker prime rib sandwich was phenomenal. The prime rib was tender and moist. The sandwich also... More

A colleague and I had dinner, both ordering salads. Food was good however nothing over the top. Ordered the brownie dessert which was delicious. Typical brew atmosphere, somewhat noisy so difficult to have a conversation. Manager was very friendly and attentive.

Was in Arlington for business. Ate and drank local ale here two nights. Good local beer and very reasonably priced food. Wait staff were friendly and provided prompt service. Free pretzels (soft) and happy hour specials. Recommend having a drink and dinner if you are in this area. I'm not an IPA guy so I had the amber ale which... More

I guess you can say that Capital City Brewing has sort of grown on me since I made another effort to visit the establishment. Situated in the Village of Shirlington, this American pub incorporates a happy fusion of German fare and brewing. The German influence shows up in dough pretzel appetizers (served with mustard) and certain style beers (Kolsh, Gose,... More

We were starving when we arrived at out hotel that night, after a long drive from Florida. Unfortunately, there were no restaurants in the vicinity of our hotel. Luckily, just a five minute's drive away was a quaint little street with shops and restaurants. We came upon the Capitol City Brewing Co and looked at the menu. We found our... More

While the beer is good, the food is less than passable. We had the worst chicken wings ever, cold and underdone. Our waiter was ok, but didnt even ask why we hardly ate at all.. as if he knew. Disinterested hostess: I dont think she likes her job

Came here after the inauguration. Super good! Got the burger and fries and it hit the spot. My daughter loved the pretzels as well!
