We got the recommendation for the restaurant from the hotel we were staying at. They were closed most days of our stay (which was unusual) but we tried them the last night we were in Austin. Although the sound was very loud and made it hard to communicate with the waitress and each other, the live music was a good... More

Stopped for lunch and the place has the old dive feel. Menu was decent and prices were good for lunch. Food was good and service was fine. All in all, good value with a nice Austin touch - no hipsters in this spot!

We just needed a place to eat, but not fast food. The decor alone in this place is worth the trip especially if you want to see something different. I especially liked the blue life sized horse. You can see the giant neon sign from far away-so it's easy to find. There was very good local entertainment which could be... More

We picked this place from a recommendation from our hotel clerk, and it was close to our hotel. Looks great from the outside. Thought we would be able to enjoy some good live music and we ate. We arrived at 5:45 and found out they just started closing early on Mondays at 6:00. But the waitress was very nice and... More

Seating was crowded and the noise deafening. Service was slow. Worse the waitress forgot my main dish. The food was so, so. My water glass was refilled twice without prompting. The ambiance was plastic horse flesh.

From out of town and stopped here because it was convenient to my meeting location. An Eclectic place but cozy and the waitress and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Food with someone on the average size but tasty didn't seem to have a signature dish. Portions were plentiful an overall good experience possibly a better atmosphere for dinner.

Once again on our annual pilgrimage to Austin had to stop off at Patsy Café, before flying back to Long beach. Nothing had changed in this cowgirl bar, ordered the same Fried Steak with Cracked Pepper Gravy and mashed potatoes, food was still good But also this time tried pecan chicken and a tortilla soup bowl, both a pleasant surprise.... I was pleasantly surprised at my lunch outing. I only had a salad but it was massive and delicious. Only wished I had room leftover for dessert.

This place is great. Good food and great service. Helps to get there early because it gets packed on the lunch hour.
