Visited here during the ACL weekend, it as so busy! We only waited 5 mins whilst they cleared a table for us. Unfortunately the few people that arrived after just couldn't fit in. It's a small-ish place with lots of character. It is clearly very popular with both locals and tourists. We were greeted by a lovely lady eager to... More

When I am in Austin over a weekend and I stay downtown, the Old Pecan is usually where I go for my hangover breakfast. Steak Benedict is my usual treat. Service is quick and efficient. Coffee is very nice and the Steak Benedict always cooked to my liking. Reasonably priced as well. Great place!

It's always weird to be the only people in a restaurant but that did not improve the food or the service. It was so dead that they closed early for a "private event." My husband had a steak thing, which was fine. I had their Pecan St Chicken or something, which was not good. The server was nice but I... More

This restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel. There was no line so we were seated right away. We had fast friendly service.

My niece had her wedding here. The florist commented on the exceptional help which the staff provided. The meal was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Everyone in my family highly recommends it.

This place is probably the best option to eat near 6th street. The manager and staff were incredibly attentive, helpful and very caring. We tried salmon and it was very nicely cooked. The restaurant has a very interesting menu and it is quite clean. I recommend it.

Garrett gave us really outstanding service. Having driven all day we we not interested in a heavy meal, so shared a chicken salad with lots of olives, feta cheese, wonderful dressing with a Vodka Palmer, then finished with a piece of pecan pie. It was so good we plan to return for brunch in the morning. I can guess at... More

Food wasn't bad but they had 3 dishes with a filet on the menu and on a Friday night the server said they had no filet so that left 3 choices out right away. Our server had to ask us 3 times what we ordered. The first 2 times we were the only ones in the restaurant. It took him... More
