Stopped here two days ago on layover. Asked for ribs dry but they came with barbecue sauce, a bit much. However, they were good and so were the sides. Lots of sides. Staff exceptionally courteous and nice.

The traditional Texan barbecue. Excellent place and service. We ate the combo of brisket, pork ribs and sausage served with potato salad, cole slaw and beans. The sausage is spicy. Good cost-benefit.

I had a couple of hours before my flight left and this was a good place to kill the time. The BBQ was tasty and they had a decent selection of local beer. They also have a stage set off to the side with some live music. Worth the stop.

This is worth a stop. Even though it's at the airport, it's still is the best BBQ in Austin. It's a limited menu compared to the original restaurant. The combo comes with sides of potato salad, beans, and bread and a "small" 16 oz drink. I had the brisket and sausage combo. Best brisket I ever had - juicy, smoky,... More

Not bad but not great. Definitely not as good as Cooper's downtown or one of the many BBQ places in Austin. Worth a stop if your passing through, just have your expectations set appropriately beforehand.

The best ribs i've ever had. The selection is huge of all different types of bbq meats and you can even bring your own beer but the ribs were the best I had in all of Austin bbq spots

We were waiting for a connecting flight. Had time to eat. Popped in and ordered the turkey sandwich. Plenty of meat, great flavor. Would love to try more menu items. Good choice if you like Barbq.

I know the Salt Lick has a huge history and big following. I still don't think it can top Franklin's or Louis Mueller for brisket. Even when I ordered the juicy it still is very dry. And I have not ordered it just once or twice. This is just been pretty historic in my ordering. Also, something I have heard... More

You can tell I ate a lot of brisket in Austin. What amazed me about salt lick was the incredibly fresh sandwich bread. Soak up the sauce and enjoy the brisket sandwich!

We enjoyed brisket in this slightly touristy BBQ place in Round Rock, Texas. The food and service were great. There was even a sign that said 1 and 1/2 hours to eat so others could be seated to enjoy the food. The moist brisket was outstanding and sold out by lunch time.
