If you want a fresh taco salad, try the Powerbowl. The black beans, avocado and pulled chicken make this salad so enjoyable. Get your dressing on the side so that you can season to taste. This is a very popular restaurant. We arrived just after 6:00p on a weekday. We would have had to wait for an outside table, but... More

Maudie's does really nice Tex Mex. Their prices are reasonable, the salsa is spicy, and the chile con carne on the enchiladas in top notch. I would definitely recommend a visit to one of the Maudie's locations while in Austin for a Tex Mex meal.

Sunday morning breakfast. Great selection. Normal eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. Others had Tex Mex offerings. Ample portions, good taste and free flowing coffee. Worked for me.

Kimberly's favorite is definitely something to stay away from! Boiled spinach slapped in a tortilla with a nasty white sauce over it and carrot slices. We literally couldn't eat it. The rice, beans and queso were fine, but nothing special. The kids' burritos were fine- very average. The place was packed and we went because we had heard good things;... More

I love Maudie's and eat there as often as I can when I'm in Austin. The food quality is consistently and friendly staff. Oh, and the frozen margaritas - mmm good!

My husband, parents and I ate lunch at Maudie's on a Saturday. We arrived at 1:15. The parking lot was packed and the restaurant was about half full. It was so noisy that we could hardly hear the conversation. Our food and service was about average. We will not be back anytime soon.

Maudie's has great food and a fantastic atmosphere! My grandson loved the trio dips! The fajitas was very spicy and excellent!

This was my 3rd visit to Austin, so I decided to try some places i hadn't before. Maudie's is pretty good Tex-Mex. not the best I have had, not the worst. Chips and queso were decent, and entrees good but not memorable. Overall solid, but not OMG great.

It was an extremely busy lunch hour. However, the service was efficient and very polite. The food and drink was absolutely delicious!

Best lunch special in town!!! I suggest you guys order the #5 Mexican Plate (2 cheese enchiladas w/ onions, refried beans, Spanish rice and flour tortillas on the side) order it w/ tomatillo sauce rather than chili con carne, AND try the flan!!!!!!
