We like to find pubs that rate highly and this was not disappointing! The food was great, the atmosphere was genuine, although like another reviewer commented the music was not Irish, but we liked everything we heard. The decor was interesting and the bathrooms were nice. We order Fish and Chips and the Chicken Newton and we'd order them again!

I had really hoped for some traditional Irish music and the musician sang some but he admitted he was hung over and honestly, it was a poor performance. Our lunch was okay but the service was good. You would really need to try this again in the evening to get a better vibe.

Sorry to hear your recent visit lacked the "Irish" you ere searching for. We feature 9 live music performances each week, and have found that offering a variety of genres seems to please most visitors. However we remain true to our Irish roots by offering up plenty of quality local performers. Every Sunday evening we host an Irish Tune Session,... More

Thanks for the great review, and so pleased you enjoyed our little Pub. Over the past 17 years, we have had the pleasure of working with many fine Austin musicians, and take great pride in featuring them on our stage. With 9 live music shows per week we always have something to offer the music fan. Cheers and come back... More

We were staying at the Driskill. Riley's is a block away, so it was a natural to try for lunch. We usually try to find an Irish Pub in every town we visit. This one was easy because it is right in the middle of where things happen. We both had a "Riley's Ruben " It is corned beef on... More

Ordered take out. Corned beef and cabbage, bangers, and mash, & fish and chips. Corned beef was a bit dry. Bangers and Nash very good. Fish and chips, ok. Had to wait for food. Very crowded but was fun. Even saw a wedding. I'll be back.

The place had excellent food, great prices for Austin but I never heard any Irish music and was really looking forward to hearing the classic Unicorn Song played in every other Irish pub I've been in! Go for the food.

My wife and I decided to venture in town for the Fish & Chips (and the revelry) on St. Patrick's day. Tough to find a seat, but after ordering drinks and the F&C from the bartender, we found one. Bartender was good guy too. Trina was our waitress and was great. It was crazy, but she got our card from... More

Come visit and experience the true feel of Ireland and the "Craic"(Fellowship and Fun) of your own local Irish Pub, in the heart of Austin's 6th Street Entertainment District. B.D. Riley's is not part of some national chain-for almost 15 years we've been a locally-owned, friendly, neighborhood pub restaurant serving a wide variety of award-winning foods, perfect pints of your favorite brews, great live music and the kind of crowd that always ensures a good time. C'mon in to the pub-make some new friends! If you are looking for a pub to call your own, look no further. The "formula" is pretty simple: serve good food and perfect pints in a traditional pub environment with a friendly staff, and season the mix with a healthy measure of cool live music featuring exclusively local Austin Artists. The result is a classic, classy neighborhood Pub. It's your own little patch of Irish comfort-on 6th Street! We'd really like to be your local pub on 6th Street. The Pub itself is a showplace (and our history is impressive). Every day is a good day to visit-we're open 365 days a year. Our Calendar always has the latest news and events, like televised sports, our prize-filled Pub Quiz trivia night, Live Music 7 nights a week with no cover charge, including each Wednesday after Trivia, a Sunday Irish Tune Session, and much more. Check out the additional pages linked above to learn more about the Pub, take a "tour," view our offerings, and learn about upcoming activities
