The bursts of flavors and textures make the dining experience so enjoyable and memorable! The pops of unique combinations of flavors are creative and nowhere to be found anywhere else in Austin! A must go for anyone seeking a journey of tastes and ambience!

Food is great and perfectly presented. Listen to your server re: what to order and in what order. Even if you don't eat sushi, you will enjoy this resaturant

We absolutely loved Uchi, so we thought we would have a similar experience at Uchiko for the UT graduation. Not so. They messed up our reservation, claiming it was 1/2 hour earlier than our confirmed (and reconfirmed) time so the breakneck speed of our first five courses was shocking. Fortunately the portions were so minuscule it didn't don't take us... More

We had some pretty amazing food in Austin, so we had to try the sushi. A local told us to go to Uchiko for Happy Hour. She said it can be pricey, but Happ Hour prices help with the tab. Make reservations because the restaurant is popular. The only spots left for Happy Hour was at the sushi bar, but... More

My friend made the reservation almost 3 weeks in advance and I thought that it was really special. I hope we do it again next year. We split the "Ten." We did request 3 items and the chefs/waitstaff selected the remainder. Our choices were the Brussel Sprouts with fish caramel, steak on a hot rock, and a crunchy roll. All... More

This is our 3rd time to eat at Uchiko. The Brussel Sprouts are still amazing. We had the beef on a hot rock, eggplant tempura, coffee bacon & scallops. The eggplant tempura was fabulous. The coffee bacon was delicious & tender and more lean meat than I've had on pork belly in other places. We shared 2 desserts. One was... More

We dined at Uchiko on a Sunday evening and had high hopes, based on the great reviews. We were not disappointed at all. Our server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and not frightened of making suggestions. That enhanced the experience and we ended up with plate after plate of delicious food. There were lots of standouts but really nothing disappointed and... More

I had been to Uchiko sister restaurant (which was 5 star amazing) and was nervous this wouldn't be as good, but it was. It is not the same type of menu in terms of tasting portions if you will but the food was different and the wine was spectacular. I went with some business colleagues and everyone enjoyed their meal.... More

The food and service are very good - you'll be standing on your wallet. That said, the quality of sushi, service and presentation are above average. Surprisingly, they don't offer "hand rolls"
