Great salad bar! Can't go wrong with the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. Love the fact that it wasn't too busy and didn't feel "rushed"

Ordered breakfast was great. The buffet looked like it had been sitting for several hours - did not look as good as most breakfasts that come with a hotel room. Biscuits were great with the gravy. Eggs were cooked right and sausage was good. Orange juice tasted like it came out of a can. Restaurant was not busy.

Came here for the sons Birthday. Hot dinner rolls are very good. Reagan was our server she was great. Dinner was good. Steaks, Shrimp, Hamburgers, Fries, Baked potatoes quite a variety for a reasonable price.

Come with customers to lunch... My plate was a rare T-Bone. I wait too much and the meal comes cold and well done! If you want to eat better... I recommends McDonalds!

The décor and menu have basically stayed the same since the 1960's! This place is a hoot! Good food, friendly staff, just like it was when it opened.

Every time we come to Abilene, we always eat at Towne Crier. Started eating here in 1978 while in school. The food is great, and quality is top notch. The salad bar is excellent. If you can't decide what to eat, get the chicken fried steak. You won't be sorry.

Salad bar still good as are the rolls. Rest of food no better than you can get elsewhere. Service was excellant - busy waitresses. Clean place,

Old Abilene staple restaurant for just good food and service. Starts out like a cafeteria but each item is cooked to order and the service is good. Great salad bar and bread. Good entrees, local favorite.

Is an older restaurant, but clean and friendly service. I was rather surprised at the salad bar and expected more variety, etc. Overall good food for the price.
