This is a nice place to have drinks after work and appetizers at the bar. It is usually quiet and not too noisy, so easy to sit and chat without being bothered by too many people or loud music. The cheese board is good offering local varieties. I will definitely go back to this local eatery.

We went to A la Maison last Saturday for dinner.. girls' night. We each had different first courses. I had an endive salad with pears, walnuts and feta that was exquisite. The others had onion soup and escargot. And of course we all had a bite of each.....and both were very good. The onion soup was possibly as good as... More

Despite having lived in the area for a few years, I somehow missed this little gem. A la Maison has everything:ambience; exquisite food and delightful, attentive servers. It is BYOB but wine coolers appear magically. Their bouillabaise rivals any that I have had in Tuscany. The dessert was a chocolate lover's wildest fantasy. I regret that I didn't write my... More

Expensive for a BYOB but consistently quite good. Family from Scotland was visiting and we treated them to this French experience. They enjoyed it a lot. We go here with friends about three times a year. Check to see when the live music is featured as Edith Piaff must have a descendent who sing here. Parking is a challenge which... More

I am in this neighborhood fairly often. I have now been to A la Maison about 4 or 5 times, once as my birthday treat. This bistro has provided consistently good service and the wait staff never says no. The food is very good and made simply. Its true French cooking. My favorite is the croque monsieur with a bowl... I have dined here many times and each time the staff there excel in their role along with the chef, who creates superb French style delicacies. From the quiche of the day for lunch, to the Steak Frites or special serving of fresh fish at night, our friends can always find something they LOVE. The prices are great and it... More

People have told me about this place for years and I was interested in trying it out. I wasn't impressed with the food. It was good, but not good enough to warrant the price. I wasn't impressed.

A La Maison has always been one of my favorite restaurants for business and personal dining. We celebrated my daughter's engagement and many other happy occasions there. The last several times I have lunched there, the server has been unfriendly, snippy, matter-of-fact and bordering on rude. Believing that everyone is entitled to one or two (or more!) bad days, I... Classic French food on the Mainline. The owner is a local man who is very involved in running the place. He is very generous with local community non profits donating his food to events. Try the wonderful cheese and home made pate plates. There are many perfect salads, soups and entrees. It is a BYO.
