Husband and I had a perfect dinner here. We ate here a couple of years ago in the summer and sat outside. This time we were in the dining room which was beautiful. Fresh French bread served with a number of toppings (herb butter, oil, balsamic vinegar, parmesan and roasted garlic). Husband ordered the rib eye served with a potato... More

This place has a lot of history and is situated in the quaint little town of Abbottstown. We had the zucchini noodle dish, which was good, but a little too salty. Our waitress was very friendly and had a fun personality.

Have gone there from time to time and always fairly good. Came for Sunday brunch recently and was a mistake. Hostess very nice Ordered from the brunch menu crab crepes and unlimited pastries and fruit bar. The reason it's unlimited is because it's self limiting .... the pastries ... looked and tasted like airline food , the fruit unripe and... More

We stayed one night at the Altland House. The people were exceptionally friendly and courtesous. The room was very clean and well kept. The restaurant was "outstanding". After dinner we went to the pub in the basement where they had live music and a bartender that was a show in himself. The drinks were great. Craig, the bartender made us... More

We stopped here for lunch on a day long road trip. The kind of place you can take a break and relax before proceeding with the rest of the day's driving. We were quite satisfied with the decor, service and food. The menu included comfort selections as well as seasonal specials. The seating was plush and comfortable. The staff shared... More

Quiet little restaurant with in house brewery. When you enter, you can always expect chips or bread as a welcome. The food is good and a nice mix of traditional and non-traditional cuisine. The upstairs is more subdued than the downstairs bar area.

We have eaten here 3 times over the course of 3 years each time for lunch and the food has been uniformly excellent. for a restaurant in a very small town the menu is innovative. Service was excellent. We have never eaten inside but the dining room is old and attractive. They is also a brew pub to add to... More

Stopped here on our way back to campground after day at Gettysburg. Nice, historical building, bar, restaurant and tavern with entertainment on weekends. We had dinner in beautiful quiet dining room. Husband had cedar plank salmon which was excellent he said and the bacon maple grits were also. I had their crabcake which was fantastic too. Highly recommend.

Recently visited as we purchased an online coupon offering a stay and food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. We eat dinner one day and breakfast brunch on a Sunday. Portions are good size. We were filled. Biggest complaint? The flies. While we understand there are flies outside we didn't expect the constant nuisance of... More
