We went here with a fairly large group of people for lunch. This being the off-season in Ashland, it was a little quiet. I had the Reuben and my wife had the brie melt. Both were good, although I thought the Reuben was a little heavy on the kraut and a little light on the meat. The service was very... More
I go to Larks around 4 times a year for a special lunch or dinner. The staff are exceptional, the space is pleasant and not too noisy and the food is consistently high quality.
We enjoyed excellent service along with very good food. My wife and I split a salad which was tasty and just the right portion for the two of us. All of our food was well prepared and very good.
We have really enjoyed Larks for many years, but dinner last evening was outstanding. The atmosphere is always cosy yet elegant, with the service professional but not cloying - Larks seems to achieve just the right balance of comfortable and classy. We started with an unusual and piquant cocktail, which accompanied a cheese and charcuterie plate that really woke up... More
Once again, the service was 5 stars. The food continues to be 5 stars as well. We had the pasta and also the chicken. Both amazing. If we had to say anything else, we wish the prices were a bit lower but you get everything you pay for -- Excellent ambiance, service, and food quality!
Most convention foods are the dry roast beef and green beans. Not Larks! Good wholesome and tasty foods and sides. Salads come fresh, coffee or tea abounds, and the desserts always pleasantly surprise. Not to mention, a delightful breakfast the next morning, Eggs Benedict with a deliciously, very tasty, light hollandaise sauce. Nice start to a hard winter drive south!!
Three of us had dinner on a quiet evening after Christmas. Even though the restaurant was full the quiet atmosphere made it feel sparsely attended. Our cocktails were very well made. Our dinners ranged from Fried Chicken to Beef Short Ribs to Filet Mignon. I think the Short Ribs were the best, as the waiter hinted. The hot fudge sundae... More
My wife and I stayed at the Ashland springs hotel and this is the restaurant downstairs. I had the New York steak and my wife had the deep fried chicken breast. The atmosphere was pleasant and the plate presentation far above average. The steak was above average but not by much. My wife enjoyed her meal but again it was... More
