Selected Amuse for pre theater dinner based on TripAdvisor reviews and was impressed with food and service. Meals included mussels, Alaskan halibut, pork loin, chocolate truffle cake for desert and local wine. Seafood and pork loin cooked to perfection and with halibut plated with quinoa and and pork loin with fresh vegetables. Mussels and chocolate truffle cake excellent. Friendly, prompt,... More

A bit more formal in outward expression than I expected but once inside a very friendly easy going place. Wait staff were appropriately attentive without hovering. I wasn't going to the theatre so they did not rush me through my meal. The arugula salad was tasty and the truffle game hen was perfectly cooked, moist and tender and the truffle... More

Ashland is flush with good restaurants and this is one of the best we tried. The place is small and charming, the staff is attentive and helpful and the food is great. OK, prices are high. But the quality is good. We had an arugula salad and a prawn appetizer to start and then moved on to an entree of... More

Amuse is small -- so do make a reservation! And it's well worth doing. Service was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. The room is small, but did not feel cramped. Salads were delicious, as were entrees: scallops (cooked to perfection) and brined pork loin chop. Everything was excellent.

Celebrated my wife's birthday at Amuse, and we were not disappointed. We had not been back to Amuse for a couple of years, so we were looking forward to another great meal. The service was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. The other staff who served us were quiet, efficient and attentive. The menu was outstanding and varied. We... More

Once a year Amuse is our special restaurant to go to for an evening of dining. Prefer to sit in the small front room. We peruse the menu looking for familiar & new items. It is a Thursday so we take advantage of the prix fix sharing the grilled prawns appetizer, scallops entree plus halibut entree both cooked to perfection,... More

The food was great and the menu is simple. The charcoal grilled prawns are great and the wedge salad was good. The beignet was fabulous it was even better than the warm chocolate cake with coffee ice cream. This says a lot coming from a chocoholic. The only downside to this restaurant was it can get very loud inside so... More

Amuse never disappoints. This is our third visit in three years, and we always try to dine here when we stop in Ashland. It is safe to compare Amuse to ANY dining experience in MANY locations, including three star French and other top rated American restaurants. The service is very good, attentive to details, and we appreciate the care and... More

The Parisienne gnocchi was bland and i only bothered to eat about half. The flavors didn't work well together. We were offered an amuse bouche, but when we explained that we were vegetarian, the offering was removed and nothing else provided. (Really? In the 21st Century, a fancy restaurant doesn't have a vegetarian alternative?). I don't mind paying high prices... More
