Don't let the ambiance discourage you. Tasty food (msg yum), cheap and no frills. Beers would go well with clams, chicken wings, fried mee, salted egg squid, fish et al. cooked in Malay-Chinese style cooking. Satay, veggies are so-so. Food is also for tapaw.
