Very good filtered coffee, and good service too. This outpost of a classic Kyoto coffee shop chain is one of the best places to have coffee in Kyoto station. Pleasant, calm, old-fashioned atmosphere.

Visited this cafe for coffee and a slice of cake. Was not disappointed, the coffee is aromatic and the ambience was enjoyable. Ordered a limited strawberry cake, light texture and flavorful. The Viennese coffee was equally good. Spent 1100Yen on these 2 items

We were browsing around Porta for a place for breakfast. I think this is one of the places that open early in Porta. We were there just as they were opening up the place, and it is packed with people for breakfast. The meal was...More

I believe this is one of the coffee store that opened since long time ago (by looking at their design, menu and customers). Good coffee and we tried also their Parfait dessert, as I mentioned it is Classic. Do not imagine any modern cuisine here....More

Wandering around Porta on our 1st day in Kyoto looking for somewhere to get a bite to eat, we stumbled across Inoda's Coffee. Just the ticket! Probably the most delicious roast beef sandwich I can ever remember! The Roast Beef Sandwich "Set" (i.e.: sandwich +...More

The food is nice presently and the taste is okay but not worth for it's price. Their coffee has sour taste. Just opposite there's a buffet breakfast that more value for money. Only 900 yen and you can get great variety of Japanese breakfast.

The outside seating was very nice in a garden settIng. The coffee was good, the pastries were also good. For two coffees and apple pie the bill came to about $15. A bit steep but it was a good break from the temple crowds.

Reminiscent of airline coffee circa 1983. Foul tasting, measly half-filled cup served with powdered milk. This place calls itself a coffee shop! What a disgrace. We had two sips and threw the rest in a bin. Wasteful and costly mistake.

Shimogyo-ku is centered around the busy train hub,
Kyoto Station. A nexus for commerce, shopping, dining,
and hotels, the Shimogyo-ku area is infused with
tourists and local business travelers, making it a
competitive location for ever-new commercial
structures. The shops and cafes here are chic and
trendy, as a result, with many recognizable chains.
