I do not know how to start this comment. After a perfect day in the downtown, we went to dinner at this restaurant. It was a perfect gastronomic experience. We paid 35euros for a menu of taste that is worth trying. I recommend it 100%.

Superb and delicate noodles. Recommend to also try the aged tofu as side dish - first bite might be hard but will be addicted.

Loved the meal that we just had at this restaurant. Delicious vegan udon noodles. Loved the initial courses on the vegetarian set menu also (vegetables, tofu, tempura). Great location - on the beautiful street ninenzaka. A great stop after kiyomizu dera. Child friendly too. At least they didn't mind our 2 uncooperative little bubs. And provided something like a changing... More

Checked out this place after reading about it in our Kyoto guidebook and it more than exceeded our expectations! The service was incredibly friendly and the food was heavenly; there's something really satisfying about being able to prepare your own soup base for the noodles and it meant we could have our food exactly to our taste. In fact, the... More

We wound our way up sannenzaka to see Kiyomizu Dera, and then down ninenzaka on the way back and stopped at this wonderful noodle oasis. The food was all exactly right and much to my surprise, they had craft beers (my wife had their wonderful sake). They got docked a point because while they allowed as to only buy 3... More

Headed here just to have their udon noodles. After walking around it was great to step into this restaurant. They have seating for groups as well as solo diners. Typical of Japan I guess. We sat by the window so we can tourist watch. Service was impeccable. English menu available which makes things so much easier. To start off we... More

Unfortunately it took us 40 minutes to get here, but we still managed to arrive by 8.20pm. However we were quickly informed the kitchen was taking last orders at 8.30pm - so why they refused to seat us I have no idea. Abysmal service, wish I could have commented on the food - but then maybe it was a good... More

Tasty ramen in a great atmosphere. Can eat and people watch in comfort. Get the Kyoto special. It's not a large dish but it's tasty.

Lovely location, vegan dashi available that is delicious. We got the thick udon noodles. Next time we will try to thin noodles I was also able to purchase the spice mix that I like to flavor to noodle soup.

Had the ramen with vegetable tempura. Food was outstanding. Service was efficient and pleasant. English menu available and English is spoken. Would definitely return.
