What I ordered
◎Raw lamb Jingisukan (8 slices per person)
◎Assorted vegetables (bean sprouts, cabbage, green peppers, pumpkin)
◎Kuro Kirishima shochu
Raw lamb Jingisukan uses only the shoulder loin of raw lamb from Australia.

Local Gengis Khan quality lamb a smaller restaurant with a really good local vibe close to Nakajima Koen subway .

Staff were so warm and friendly, they offered us a handwritten English menu and managed to fit us in even though the place was packed and we had no reservation.
The lamb was so fresh and delicious, highly recommend!

As a first time visitor to Hokkaido, I’d never heard of “Genghis Khan”-style lamb BBQ, but local friends of my wife brought us to this restaurant for dinner and was it ever good!
The little grill on our table and the plates of meat and vegetables reminded me of Shabu-Shabu but when I mentioned that to my wife she frowned at me, so I guess not many Japanese people would think of them as similar but to me the “cook it yourself at the table” nature of the experience makes the two dishes just variations on one common theme.
Two things to keep in mind when visiting:
1) They don’t accept credit cards, so bring folding Yen
2) Even though there is a coat hanging area with plastic curtains against one wall, your clothing is likely to smell like BBQ afterwards
Still, very good food and service. Recommended for meat lovers.

I checked the reputation or review via internet site to find three strongly recommended Genghis Khan (Mongolian) BBQ restaurants and this one is the closest from our staying hotel. The restaurant is very casual and the waiters and waitresses are so friendly to guide us to choose the menu and how to cook Genghis Khan BBQ. The fresh lamb meet are very soft and delicious but the most important point we can not miss is ... fresh lamb meat doesn't have odor peculiar to lamb or mutton meat. It is really so delicious and the prices are so reasonable. I strongly recommend this place when you have a chance to visit Sapporo City in Japan.
