It is a two-storey restaurant. In the first floor, only noodles are served. It was quite crowded in the first floor and the service was very slow. In the second floor it is much cleaner, and dishes are served. Love the noodles with fried eel slices and shrimps and crispy tofu skin. Fine taste. Not far from Westlake.
I order : Xiabao Shanmian (Noodles with Fried Eel Slices and Shrimps) and Sliced Pork and Bamboo Shoots in Soup). All are great and delicious. Recommended hot soup during cold weather !!! Cost per pax RMB 30 - 40
The taste is fine. But not very "wow" type... price is not very cheap .. It is just located across the road of SSAW Hubin hotel.. walking distance of 3 minutes only. Remember always allow the chef to cook it in a less salty way.. Hangzhou food is salty.........
Specially went to search for this restaurant as it was recommended online. Tried the best seller "Xia Bao Shan Mian" (prawn & eel noodles) but was ok only. Cost RMB42
I was born and brought up in Hangzhou. Kuiyuanguan was my favourite noodle place in Hangzhou. It is very convenient and delicious. It's got different menus in different seasons. The most classic choices are Pian'erchuan and Xiabaoshan noodle. Definitely worth a try!

Heard the eel-shrimp noodles, were their speciality, but already had tons of shrimps for lunch, so went for just the eels. The soup was also not too salty, not too bland and just right. The... More
Overall it's good eating experience. Clean dining environment although it's cold due to opening doors. Ordering is wireless transferred and foods are quickly delivered. The taste of its brand name noodle is average, not recommend. It's not cheap for three bowls of noodles and two cold dishes.
