It is nice to taste the dumping banquet in the theater, another unique experience, before the show. The best part of the show is the catching the bird by the princess, it is so dedicated that you will feel that was the real tomb paintings.

The show, based upon traditional Tang Dynasty songs & dances was a joy to watch; it was well done and the whole family (including teenage daughters enjoyed it). We had the dumpling meal before the show, the taste of the dumplings were ok (they must make 1000's of them to serve the whole theater). If you want to try a... More

Visited this place 3 times with our tour group over a 2 week period. The 1st time it was just for dinner, as we had literally just arrived in Xi'an & food was a must. The buffet was just OK. Chinese hamburger was probably the highlight - but I got a much better one at the University of Xi'an refectory... More

We enjoy the show tremendously. The backdrop and dancing was awesome and the costume was very colourful and alot of the dances come from the Tang dynasty. A well record male chinese and follow by an english female voice read the narrative of the performances on the side of the led screen on the side of the wall however there... More

An optional dumpling dinner is served at the theatre before the show. The food and decor is enjoyable, but average. However, the dinner music performed by a member of the cast is exceptional, a sample of things to come. The show opens with an ensemble number that is beautifully costumed, featuring many traditional instruments. It is both exotic and powerful!... More

The show was a good way to understand more about the cultural history of the area. I think the food was not the best and the show was occasionally a bit repetitive, but we were glad we had the opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture. Some of the dancing was amazing--glad we saw it.

Excellent show, not just a tacky show put on for western tourists as plenty of Chinese too. Several courses, nicely served. Beautifully laid tables and nice menus. Excellent show, fab costumes etc

After a day out at the Terracotta Warriors we were taken to this evening show in a theatre come restaurant. The meal comprised 15 courses of dumplings of every variety which was a pleasurable, if not gastronomic experience. The show was a very colourful event with what was described as traditional dancing and music. A pleasant evening event to round... More
