Several of the places we went just wanted your money. Here, we got great service and interesting food. It did not feel like you were just a cash cow. Besides, it is in the same building where Dostoyevsky lived in St. Petersburg.

we ate at levine. we were two persons - me and my wife. we ate big striginif and kiev chicken it was nice and tasty. the price was fair - but not as low as we thought. the rises are very small
Levin has great reviews but it closed down at the end of 2013. Their website announced the closure, and unfortunately, it's true.
Very nice restaurant and a. welcoming waitress. There is not so much choice but the food is great! We missed the apple pie though...
Had a late-night dinner here and enjoyed the super friendly atmosphere. The food was of good quality, and the fresh fish a very welcome option after heavy stroganoffs and such.
Had our first meal in Russia here. Arrived late as straight off the plane. We had Vodka, Blinis, caviar and Reindeer, all firsts and the waitress was a delight. She enjoyed it as much as we did.
Very homely restaurant, feels like being in someone's living room. The food is Russian. The borscht was great and so was the rabbit stroganoff and the pavlova. Very friendly service in great English. Highly recommended, would go there again in a heartbeat.
