We couldn't even finish 1/2 our food and we left, even though we paid 18,000 x 5 rubles. Reviews for this restaurant is really good, so I'm wondering if we had a bad meal just because it was a special menu for NYE. Food was way below average, we were quite embarrassed as our guest barely touched her food. Fish... More

We had lunch at Shinok and loved it! The atmosphere is great, food is perfect and service is very friendly. The animals that sit behind glass next to you, make it very relaxing!

My starter came after my main, my steak came without any accompanying vegetables, the wine was corked which required 20min wait for a sommelier to be found to confirm before the wine was changed. the place was pretty empty so wonder what it would be like if service had to cope with more people. Overpriced for the quality.

This restaurant serves Ukrainian cuisine - however, it represents a Russian soul as well. If you'd like to taste traditional dishes with a signature twist, this place is for you. Everything is tasty and filling. I was amazed by pickled watermelon, and Chicken Kiev was better than in Kiev:) Above that, the restaurant has a small zoo with a cow,... More

We had the misfortune of dining here once. Once was enough to guarantee that we would never ever come back. There is a very good reason for this, and there are other reviewers that have mentioned some of the reasons on here too. First of all when you arrive you HAVE to leave your coats at a "reception", then you... More

There are 3 things that make good impression in this place: good food, nice interior design and live animals that mind their own business right next to you during your meal. I was told it's an Ukrainian restaurant, and I liked it a lot. All dishes were tasty, served on pretty plates and I got to know some interesting new... More

Was fortunate to get a table next to the farmyard enclosure (this restaurant has live animals roaming around behind a large glass window) and it was pleasing to see that the animals seemed happy and well cared for. Service was great with good English spoken, which can be a rarity in Moscow. Food was traditional Ukrainian fare, recommend trying a... More

My customer took me for once to a Russian food place. The atmosphere is warm and the place is large. They have a good selection of food and vodkas. Toilet are unusual and nice. There is a garden with a huge tree and birds and even a goat (not seen if it produces cheese or not)

Yesterday me and my bf decided to visit this restaurant because of such outstanding reviews. The evening started very nice except that the waitress was nowhere to be seen and we needed to ask the other one to go search for her. We ordered borsch (and it was absolutely amazing) and pirozhki that were supposed to go with it. But... More

The food there is really great. As starters we had the smoked pork and dumplings. Fantastic. Then followed by the Ukrainian Borszcz. Main courses were duck and rabbit. Both very tender and prepared elegantly. As a final we were treated with pancakes with poppy seeds. Absolutely fantastic. Recommend to everyone. Great ambience and alive animals inside!

Staying in Presnensky

Neighbourhood Profile
Presnensky
The neighborhood is divided into two major halves by Krasnaya Presnya street: the southern part highlights Moscow city – businesses contained in skyscrapers along with the White House - where the Russian government works. The north is a bit more relaxed and casual, visitors here will find the Moscow zoo, National Centre for Contemporary Arts and a number of fine restaurants. The beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is usually packed with the events such as organ music concerts.
