good range of Russian dishes, attentive service, generous portions. Pet peeve observed here - removing my plate while my husband was still eating. Lack of medium priced Russian wine options

After enjoing a performance at the Bolshoi Teatre, took a taxi to Cafe Pushkin (400 Rub) for a light meal. No advance booking. Seated at the beatiful Library hall on the upper level. Ordered the traditional Russian salad Olivier recommended by friends. Very refreshing with a glass of vine. Served by several waiters some of whom were highly professional and... More

We saw Café Pushkin on Tripadvisor and thought we had to go during our visit to Moscow . Firstly we booked a table through email for library hall which looked lovely in pics . We headed from our metro station to Pushkinskaya metro and found restaurant without any problem . This because we checked out google earth first . On... More

We had a breakfast in the downstairs restaurant. In the writeups I had read about this place it talked about the excellent service...We did not find this..we found the staff abit old school waiter style and a bit Gruff...it might have been the lack of English spoken and comprehended by the staff that contributed to this..but you didnt get the... After all the reviews I had high expectations, but I didn't enjoy this place. I had a big problem with the menu, it's quite creative in how they phrase food description in an old-russian way, but it doesn't help when you are hungry and these strange words about the food just make you confused. Eventually I ordered an appetizer with... More

I went here for my birthday yesterday. It is a pricey restaurant, but it is pricey AND has incredible food. It is definitely a place I would like to go to for subsequent special occasions. I was with another person, who ordered Rabbit. I Got chicken cutlet. Both dishes were delicious and the presentation of the dishes is obviously as... More

Café Pushkin is one of the most romantic restaurants you will ever visit in your life. But, only in the 2nd floor dining room known as the Library. The other dining rooms just don't come close and not worth your time. White glove service in an old world beautiful restaurant chock full of antiques and artwork. The food was very... More

Very good style. Friendly staff. Food- traditional and very delicious! Good location. I love to come back here again and again. They do speak a bit of English as well. Even, if I'm speaking Russian, head them serving foreigners.

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
