I've been to Moscow 5 times in the past year and have not been terribly impressed with Russian food; however dining in this establishment suggests to me I may not be trying the right places! We were a party of 5 one particular recent evening and All agreed that every meal that arrived was nothing short of incredible. Despite my... More

Lovely restaurant beautifully furnished in a library setting. Their caviar is the best in Russia. Terrific service.

The only thing better than the appearance and ambience of the restaurant was the food. Service was very good as well and we had great advice on how to sample Russian delicacies and of course the Vodka. We don't often have a desert but when we saw the table next to us have the cheesecake with toffee lattice melted with... More

Cafe Pushkin is a collection of eating establishments with the cafe portion being the main star. Located just about a kilometre from Red Square, off the main drag this restaurant is a step back in time to the early 1900's. My wife and I went there a couple of times for coffee, tea and honey cake. This place is very... More

The food was OK (I chose the Salmon) but the service that I received from the waiter was incredible. He was very attentive and aware of guests at the table he was waiting on. He also gave really good recommendations. I wish I took his name as he truly deserves a mention... The restaurant itself is a good location and... More

Cafe Pushkin is institution on Moscow restaurant scene and is MUST stop on your visit to Moscow. I visited in December with a friend of mine and we had one of their "business lunch" menues, which is set lunch for decent price. And it was delicious. One thing I really liked it's the atmosphere in the restaurant, it's transports you... More

I had made an online reservations with them ahead of time through their website, which worked really well. (They even replied when I had a question :) We decided to eat in the "library", one of their beautifully decorated rooms. The waiters were attentive, but not hovering we had two for the table. They made good recommendations (try a glass... More

Went here for a Valentine's Day dinner and was impressed by the decor and the gentlemanly waiters. They were very gallant helping women down the stairs. A great choice of dishes and drinks although they were quite pricey. I enjoyed a venison pie and the sea bass washed down with a cold Chardonnay. Our waiter was attentive and kept the... More

Everything in this place is right. The ambiance, the decoration, the food and the service. A must see when in Moscow.

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
