Getting to this restaurant was exasperating. Having navigated the metro (which wasn't the easiest thing to do, we arrived outside smolenskaya station. Our phone navigation showed we were near but didn't pinpoint exactly where we had to go. Eventualy having asked an english speaking local, he found it for us, on the top floor of a department store. One inside... More

Oh there's no doubt this place is pricey, we had eyes wide open going into it, but I suppose I didn't expect the wine to be a minimum of $150 a bottle and the photographer of the evening, who you can only pay in cash to take our $70 and not deliver the photo agreed. Despite repeated emails since to... More

How this restaurant is the worlds top 50 really baffles me! My partner and I where travelling through Russia and we thought it would be a great opportunity to visit a restaurant that is in the worlds top 50. We accepted to be blown away by the food and service being a high end restaurant, however what we got was... More

We had a wonderful night at this restaurant recently. Stunning design and views. We were certainly dressed the least well of everyone there, after several weeks of traveling through Europe with a young family, but that didn't matter at all. We ordered the tasting menu and had some fantastic cocktails. The menu was served by Katherine (with glasses, as she... More

White Rabbit is a stylish cocktail bar and restaurant with beautiful decor and a stunning view across the city. We went late afternoon for a couple of drinks and watched the world go by. It's a bit more expensive than some of the city's other bars but more reasonable than the big hotels and with a much better view! Would... More

The food is fine as is the service. But this is not a "top 50" restaurant. On balance it's worth visiting, but primarily for the view.

Me and my friends wanted to try something different and decided to try out the White Rabbit. When we arrived we sat down and ordered a wine while enjoying the fantastic view over Moscow. Then the waiter came back and informed us that the bottle of wine was sold out, same as many others in that price range and they... More

The way to go to the restaurant might be confused you as you have to find the elevator then change to the right elevator to go up, please keep an eye on the signage. The service is superb and the food is fantastic. A waiter would ask 10% on top of the bill additionally as a tip for them. Honestly,... More

Staying in Arbat

Neighbourhood Profile
Arbat
Crowds of tourists, both local and international take in Old Arbat and its modern and gigantic peer – New Arbat. One reason visitors keep coming is no doubt Konstantin Melnikov’s famous private house, now open to the public and worthy of a visit. After exploring one of the oldest parts of Moscow, avoid the crowds and turn to the side streets and boulevards where calmness and affordable food is plentiful.
