A must for both my colleagues and myself whenever we are in Moscow. Great atmosphere, superb food, knowledgable and helpful waiting staff and, yes, you can pay by card!

I didn't expect such a nice place from the outside. The food was great, we tried some recommendations by the staff and dishes we knew. Prices were very considerate. Quite casual and full of locals.

This is a supposedly modern take on Georgian food however while the restaurant did to a large degree avoid the much of the kitch the food was pretty standard Georgian dishes, however not very good. Service is pretty hopeless and any restaurant that runs out of beer at 8pm on a Wednesday night has problems.

Cute and cosy, this Georgian cafe is good value and we had the most wonderful waiters and waitresses. The food is delicious and there are menus with photos if you're new to Georgian cuisine. I study Russian at Liden & Denz, just around the corner, and this is going to be my new favourite place to eat with classmates. It... More

We had 1 night in moscow and decided to stop at this restaurant. We ordered 3 dishes, one with the eggplant that was very nice. The Hachapuri with spinach is super tasty. A good option for dinner in the city.

Very disappointing serving size, not traditional Georgian taste of food. Hostesses careless, you can't pay by card, and you can't charge your phone due to a direct order imposed by the business' owner. Waste of time and money.

I'm not the right person to review this restaurant because I don't know anything about Georgian food -- first and only time I've eaten it was this time. Our hotel highly recommended Saperavi and the place is busy -- I've gone past it several times in the last few days and there's always a crowd. So based on popularity, this... More

Came here as it was recommended from the Marriot hotel on the other side if the street. Liked the chicken shaslik and aubergine dishes especially, special offer for wine was appreciated by my collegues (2 for one 1 price). I would come again, if staying close by again.

Want something native authentic from Georgian cuisine, but do not want to spend fortune, should visit place. Adjarian Hachapury (bread with cheese and egg) made only when order as can't be stored. House Georgian wine reminds you about the time local wineries do not know about mass production. Soups are fab. Try KHARCHO well famous across Russia and lots of... More

Description
What should be a genuine Georgian restaurant?
We hope that you'll find the answer in the Saperavi.
Ajapsandali and gebjalia, pkhali and pelamushi are cooked according to ancient Mingrelian recipes and in proper utensil. But the owners afforded themselves liberties in the interior such as walls with the hand-painted vine leaves and old photos as wallpapers.
You may run in for a quick lunch , arrange a celebratory dinner in keeping with the best traditions of Georgian feast, or come with children on a weekend - we are always glad to see You!

Staying in Presnensky

Neighbourhood Profile
Presnensky
The neighborhood is divided into two major halves by Krasnaya Presnya street: the southern part highlights Moscow city – businesses contained in skyscrapers along with the White House - where the Russian government works. The north is a bit more relaxed and casual, visitors here will find the Moscow zoo, National Centre for Contemporary Arts and a number of fine restaurants. The beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is usually packed with the events such as organ music concerts.
