Great place for a European dinner. Excellent menu and great service. Will certainly be back again. Try the pea soup; it's the best I have had anywhere in the World.

The restaurant is a little bit hard to find, because it's hidden behind another building (Krisna). So when you step inside, you've got this strange feeling: somehow you'll feel welcome in this warm, cozy, Dutch decorated restaurant! The menu is enormous, so many options, it's too dangerous, you want to try everything! It's mostly a Dutch/Mediterranean menu FYI. Something I... More

Thank you for your nice write up. We are working on the excess and better visibility from the street. Hopefully to be realized within a few months. It was absolutely our pleasure to meet you and welcome you to our (family) establishment. Henny More

We visited De Bonte Koe (The Colourful Cow) on a Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place wasn't that busy so the staff had plenty of time to take care of us. The owner came out of the kitchen to introduce himself and have a little chat - always a welcome plus in my opinion. We had a range... More

Lovely, complete European menu... Steak Tartare was sublime, Salmon Gravlax - yummy, friend had the Beef Stroganoff - hit the spot... AND, at reasonable prices... rounding off the experience - a charming Euro setting and warm, engaging service AND, the owner also! Will be back!

Rock solid and reliably excellent. I consider this the best restaurant in Mindanao without any reservation - not just based on the food but whole package. Fun on a Thursday evening when expats descend on the bar on patio.

After a month and a half in Davao, I was in need of familiar food. I found De Bonte Koe on TripAdvisor and thought I would give it a try with my Filipina wife. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is set well off the street behind some other places and I almost didn't find it. Upon walking into the... More

Wow, how I like this place. Henni is really a strange and funny and nice guy. Always behind the staff training them. I wonder how he can stand the always changing employees. Phantastic food. Clean. Good toilets. Strong wifi.

I first started going to De Bonté Koe years ago, and thought then that it offered a varied, creative selection of European food (many with a Dutch influence), all carefully and lovingly prepared. As it was then, so it remains, and the "hands-on" approach of its Dutch owner has not changed since my first visit more than ten years ago.... More

The well trained kitchen staff are one of the few in Davao who know how to cook fish, and the servers are a pleasure
