There's no visiting Davao without dining at Claude's Le Cafe de Ville. It's the best French restaurant and probably the best of all the restaurants in the city. Their gourmet is really worth the price, however expensive. The staff are always ready to serve what you need. The new location deserves to be called de Ville, because it's in the... More

Claude Nine in Davao City Our office opened the year with a dinner for 15 managers at Claude's Le Cafe de Ville at the Oboza Heritage House, 143 Rizal Street, Davao City. And we were all literally and gustatorily floating on Claude nine! First, the venue. The Oboza Heritage House stands out like a regal queen on the street. It's... More

I met Claude in his old location in the 1990s when he first started. I told him I was from New Orleans and so he tried to impress me with various dishes and I was polite but frankly they were nothing compared to Cajun food. So many people raving in reviews here about this being an exemplary example of French... More

Took my fiance there for dinner and to propose. Claude is the ultimate host. The tenderloin was juicy and savory. You should have seen the look on my fiance's face when she saw the creme brule and fresh strawberries with vanilla ice cream desserts. Claude set up and reserved a table in an intimate corner of the lawn for our... More

We went to another place recommended by a friend tonight and were quite disappointed. This first place, a hole-in-the-wall was touted to have really excellent tuna - it came out dry. The squid was tough. And the place was so full of smoke. I've been through holes-in-the-wall before but at least the other places had a redeeming factor in their... More

Came here in a group and we occupied the entire place. It just so happen that our number is within the maximum they can accommodate. I enjoyed the food from appetizer to the main course, not much for the dessert. I like the soup and the steak that was served, the steak though is big for me (not to mention... More

Description
Mediterranean Cuisine.

Claude’s serves the best steaks in town. Their steaks are perfectly cooked to the diner’s specifications with a choice of pepper or mushroom sauce. It can also be served with either mashed potatoes, or the more popular choice, rice.

Other crowd-drawers are their appetizers, salads and soups. Some appetizers which deserve to be mentioned are their salmon pate and shrimp cocktail. The pate is served with lightly toasted sliced French bread while the cocktail is full of fresh shrimp smothered with light dressing and a helping of tomatoes and avocados. Their ceasar’s salad is also easily one of the best I’ve tasted in the city.
