We stumbled across the Incabar in the late afternoon looking for a coffee and cake. The cake was delicious. The place was filling quickly with tourists. The staff were very friendly and obliging. Free wi-fi as well. We saw the dinner meals- excellent value for money and large portions!

I had quinoa soup and a chicken sandwich and the quinoa soup was amazing! Also the mint lemonade is made with the local mint muna and its also wonderful. The ambience and the surroundings are really nice. My only criticism is that it is sort of slow but honestly that seems to be the norm for restaurants in Peru. I would suggest going here though!

If you are missing vegetables on your travels, this is the restaurant for you. All the main courses come with a selection of "sides" including steamed vegetables and of course potatoes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the music and artwork create a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.
So good we went back again for our second night in Puno.

We were leaving on the night bus to Cuzco so we ate early at Inca Bar (lucky we did because a big group came in after us). The food was pretty good and it's in a good location.

Our guide book mentioned IncAbar toward the top of their list of recommended restaurants in Puno. After several restaurants, I have completely ratcheted down my expectations for any food here; Puno is NOT a foodie destination. That said IncAbar was even disappointing in spite of significantly lowered expectations. By Puno standards, they did get us our drinks in record time of under 10 minutes, but then not a single dish arrived for 45 minutes, including the Saganaki, which everywhere else in the world is an appetizer. The fact that the cheese was only partially melted, and only in the slightest way possible resembled actual Saganaki (i.e. - it was, in fact, cheese, and was warmer than room termperature), was frustrating, but the fact is, I should have been frustrated about it, oh, maybe 25 minutes earlier. My son's guinea pig was so fatty that even he wouldn't finish it, and my limo (alpaca) saltado was just middling at best. I believe IncAbar is a coffee house as well, and that may be their strong suit, but I would not recommend coming here for the food.

Tastes horrible. Couldn't finish my food. Cheese tasted like poopy kaka. The best thing I had here was the water I brought with me. Coffee not good either.

There hot chocolate is like a weak a nesquick cocoa. I'd recommend the owner to visit Chaqchoa in Arequipa or the Cocoa Museum in Cusco and ask for a hot chocolate there. Then try their own...
Skip this place, deserts are not so much better neither, the banana cake was dry.

I went there with my boyfriend as we wanted to have desert. I ordered oven baked bananas and a hot chocolate. The bananas were barely warm and obviously they just came out of the microwave, no sign of baking whatsoever. The hot chocolate didn't taste of chocolate either, and was drowned into watery milk. I tried adding sugar to cover the taste... Really disappointed, like it's hard to find proper cocoa in Peru. They make great ones in most other places so why not here?

We had the pasta with a tomato sauce and banana cake. The pasta sauce was full of sugar and tasted like something my 3 year old nephew might cook. The banana cake was stale and microwaved. Worst meal in Peru. There are much, much better places in Puno.

Wifi is big for me while driving around South South America so stopped for quick use and stayed to closing. Great environment and food and priced well. While I have very basic Spanish they also speak basic English. I am back for breakfast. A must visit if in Puno 👍🍷🐛

A fair mishmash of a place. They were playing some hellish music very loud when i entered, though they turned it down when I asked. I had a fairly weird vegetarian meal, including a surreal soup. I also had a lot of coffee too which really was ok. The service was of the sort that makes you remember that life is essentially a joke and there is not point in getting too hung up about stuff. My waitress was pretty and nice, so her evident incompetence- or was it indifference?- didn't matter. Actually things are often like that in Latin America. She seemed to find my presence there essentially comical, as you might find the presence of, say, a sheep in a cinema comical. I don't think is necessarily a bad thing. I prefer it to the forced jollity and oh so earnest professionalism of US servers any day.

I recommend you come to this restaurant/cafe. The food is simple Peruvian fare which is cooked to perfection and easily on a par with other places I have eaten in the States where they charge three times as much. They also serve and sell the incredibly delicious locally grown organic Tunki Mayo coffee. For coffee-lovers this is a must.
