What an amazing experience. Food is amazing. A real German feeling when you walk in there. Great. In the heart of the city .

You will be surprised at the size of the portions. The Pigs Knuckle can easily be spit in two. The Bratwurst and Sauerkraut dish is almost too big. The selection of beer will satisfy anyone. The entire meal was very economical for the size of portions. Reservations are recommended. It is a very busy establishment.

After walking through the quaint shops of Swakopmund, we stopped for lunch at the Brauhaus. Quaint atmosphere. Good eisbein. (Don't order the dumplings-yuck). We were served by one happy waitress and one grumpy one. And, apparently Hansa and Windhoek on tap is "the same thing" according to grumpy waitress. The boys loved the sign on the bathroom door?!? 12:30 was... More

Informal and fun, a perfect lunchtime treat. A traditional German menu with excellent beers. Take a break and retreat to Germany!

We wanted to do german, why not when in Swakop. We were eight people and had some lekker weiss beer. Everybody's food was great and the male waiter we had was very good. Will visit again.

Ok, I am not really sure why you would want to go to German restaurant in Namibia, and yes I know Swakopmund was a German colony - but assuming you do this is a good fun choice. Service is good and food quality fine ..and beers excellent.

Slightly intimidating when you go in as it seemed to be all locals. The food was, of its type very good, plentiful and solid. Meaty but possibly not the ideal place for veggies. Service was a bit hit and miss as they only seemed to have one waitress but it was an interesting experience if you have never been to... More

Being in Namibia we were expecting to have some hearty German cuisine so this was an obvious choice. Unfortunately it was decidedly average. The restaurant and bar seems to mix locals and tourists with a focus on getting people in, feeding them and getting them out again. It did not feel welcoming. Service was not attentive and when we complained... More

We had to make last minute plans as the hotel restaurant was closed, and despite being fully booked ( as they normally are) they made a plan and the food was excellent, ambiance always great, and the service was friendly and perfect.
