Very disappointed in this restaurant. We ordered seafood Pastilla and we were served a Pastilla with a fish-tasting mixture. No fresh seafood, or even decent frozen. Plus, very expensive. I couldn’t finish my plate. There are plenty of other restaurants, so don’t choose this one.

While in Essaouira and on the Recommendation of my Guide with whom I shared my lunch a very nice surprise. I rank this restaurant among the best I ate during my stay in southern Morocco. An entrance at 70 dh or less than 7 €! Bora Bora delicious fresh shrimp on avocados and oranges all brings you a freshness and unique flavors... then 2 grilled soles on my plate accompanied by small varied vegetables. The fish can’t be fresher it’s just very very good when like me we love fish to the core. I believe I will spend a holiday in Essaouira just to eat fresh fish... for the rest El Kahima is a large service house on terrace and on several floors. The setting is typical we feel very good the service was really up to it. I wish you the same beautiful experience.

Big improvement since my last visit, there is no longer the marquee on the terrace where we were taken for clowns (indigestible dishes) there is now a real terrace. Friendly and professional waiter The dishes are much better than before, tagine Beef or lamb excellent but without vegetables except a few prunes Too bad, there is no shortage of vegetables in Morocco and at low prices. We went to eat with two people. My daughter had an avocado, shrimp and mandarin salad, it was specified that the salad was well garnished, there was the equivalent of two tablespoons of small low-end shrimp with a little avocado and no mandarin… I ordered a monkfish skewer for 145 dirhams, and it was not monkfish, but rather a pollock type fish, nothing to do with monkfish. Really Good Restaurant Find

We actually had dinner here twice, and drinks once. Located on an interesting interior courtyard, we could enjoy people watching while we enjoyed our meals. Fish for me both times. Good food, good service and decent prices. A good combination.

An excellent restaurant in the heart of the Medina, El Khaima provides a wide range of culinary delights, Moroccan and European, along with alcoholic beverages. The staff are friendly and attentive and well dressed in attractive bow ties and black trousers (a pleasant break from the often disheveled casual wear of waiters elsewhere). Another advantage is that this restaurant serves meals throughout the day … no need to wait for dinner at eight! We ate there 13 times in two weeks. Special kudos for exemplary service from Ayoub and Hassan.

No taste, bland and without research. Deplorable service because disorganized. I took a “meat vegetable tagine” that I was told was lamb , it was beef and nothing had simmered, the vegetables (potatoes and carrots ) seemed to have steamed. As an aperitif , I had a mojito: it was extremely sweet, pink in color, and did not taste like alcohol. My husband didn’t like his skewer duet which didn’t look like it had any taste either. Only my avocado shrimp starter ( bora bora) and my husband's fish soup were a bit good In short go your way

Great restraunt

Lovely restaurant good choice of foods. We visited as part of a tour and had a set meal which was very good and consisted of 4 really nice dishes and a mint tea. The staff were friendly and accomadating to my fussy eater son. The ambience is perfect you can enjoy food while watching the world go by. Entertainers do stop by- a tip is expected so if you dont want to tip just pretend they are not there and they move along. Would highly reccomended.

Nice place in Essaouira

Nice restaurant with a terrace. They have a 3 course meal for 125 DH and the quality of the food was great. Fish soup was delicious and the sole fresh and tasty. They do receive big groups of tourists so service might be a bit slow. Highly recommended.

Restaurant with a varied menu and large terrace. Good ubication. Friendly but slow service. It has wine and beer. High price for the quality it offers. I would not recommend it, except for the comfort of the place and the variety of dishes (tagine, pasta, pizza, meat, fish...)

Enjoyed our food

We were looking for somewhere convenient and chose this one as we were walking by. The customer service was great and our food arrived in timely manner. The atmosphere was relaxed and we enjoyed eating here. Food arrived and for the price it was what was expected. I preferred the Lamb Tangine and it was really lovely. My sons ordered fish and they were happy with it.

It is a normal Moroccan restaurant. The food is the same as you would get anywhere, it is not bad, but not particularly special either. The service is good and special requests are catered for. Prices are moderate. The positive thing is that they serve beer and wine. Nice terrace in a large courtyard.

This restaurant deserves a little more love than that given by reviewers so far. It's a perfectly decent place set back from the road in a pleasant square that's great for people and cat watching. The service is excellent and if the food isn't out of this world, neither are the prices.

Pretty average food in an older restaurant

We were taken here by our guide during a day visit from Agadir. Nice location, decent menu, pretty average food to be honest. Service was okay, and good value for money. Just a little bland and lacking in taste.
