It was a rainy late night and since Red Garden is near the hotel I was residing, we decided to try it. We ordered an oyster omelette, chicken rice and fruit juice. Coming from Singapore, we were expecting similar or even better quality Southeast Asian...More

Great fun with a very mixed crowd. You chose your food from any of a large number of vendors with a huge variety. Some great, some not. But you need to try.

My friend and I stopped into this place after fellow travelers recommended it. I had Chicken Masala and garlic naan from Tandoori, the North Indian cuisine stall. It was delicious! Definitely the best Indian food I have had in a while. The Masala was so...More

Good selection of food, with a friendly atmosphere, no pushy hawkers which is quite a nice change but just good honest food.

Try one of the Georgetown food courts during your stay. Cheap, but tastefully food. Just sit down at a table, remember your table number and order from the stalls around the court. Among other we tasted the fried oyster omelette and it was delicious!

Close to Lebuh Chulia and has a lot of great options. Probably not the absolute best food you'll find in this food Mecca, but worth going for the convenience and atmosphere. Don't come too early - nothing seemed quite ready when we came at 6!

We were brought here by the local tour guide. This is a non-air-conditioned food center. There are a good selection of local food sold here but most are not particular to Penang. The food sold here are cheap compared to cities like Singapore but expensive...More

The hawkers of Penang are legendary and we found the Red Garden simply the best place to enjoy the delights on offer. Many stalls offering all sorts of fantastic foods at such cheap prices, the live music was quirky and fun and the roving bartenders...More
